NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, April 29
Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: LeBron James
squirrelpatrol: Aaron Gordon
kmurray03: Anthony Davis
Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
Notorious: Larry Nance – It’s been frustrating for yours truly. I was on Nance in both of the Play-In Tournament games and in both of the first 2 games of this series. I finally decided to hop off in Game 3 thinking I learned my lesson. Naturally, Nance played 29 minutes and scored 36 fantasy points. I view him as a better fit for the matchup against the Thunder, and it’s worth noting that he started the 2nd half of Game 3 (without an injury to Jonas Valanciunas). Even if Nance doesn’t start tonight, I like his chances to play 25+ minutes off the bench.
squirrelpatrol: LeBron James – This is a win-or-go-home game for the Lakers in Denver, and this series has been competitive throughout. There’s no need to manage minutes here, so LeBron will see as much run as he can handle. LeBron is cheaper than Anthony Davis on both sites and projecting for half the ownership, but I think it’s a toss-up who will score more fantasy points. LeBron is averaging 27.3 points and 8.3 assists in 40 minutes per game this postseason – better averages in each category compared to last year’s postseason – and I expect another big game tonight.
kmurray03: Trey Murphy – I don’t think he will be super contrarian, but I do think he’ll be low-enough owned on a small slate to help make lineups unique. I think many will look at the Denver players in this price range, and Murphy serves as an interesting pivot.
