So, who better to walk you through the madness of an NBA DFS slate? Core Plays LIVE will zoom out on the slate as a whole, zoom in on the best NBA DFS picks, and constantly update as news breaks. Whether you are diving into the slate 5 hours before it starts or 5 minutes before it starts, you’ve come to the right place.

Happy Thursday!

THE PLAYERS Championship and the NCAA Conference Tournaments are underway. There’s a lot to sweat right now, which is always great for those of us who play DFS and like to bet on sports. We have a fairly quiet schedule in the association, as only 12 teams are set to take the floor tonight. FanDuel and DraftKings are back to their bickering ways, as they can’t seem to agree on the slate size. FanDuel is rolling out a 4-game main slate, while DraftKings has all six games on their main slate. We have two teams playing in the front half of a back-to-back (Suns, Clippers) and four teams playing in the second half of a back-to-back (Bulls, Mavericks, Blazers).

Team Previews

Phoenix Suns (at BOS): We kick off the slate with the Suns, who have only won 5 of their last 10 games. They are desperately trying to avoid having to enter the play-in tournament in the Western Conference. They have a difficult draw tonight as they travel to Boston to take on the Celtics, who are 19th in pace and 2nd in defensive rating. The Suns are 5-point underdogs and have a total that is 5 points below their season average. Josh Okogie has been ruled out, while Eric Gordon is listed as questionable. There’s not a single player on the roster with a positive RGValue or more than 8% projected ownership. Even on the 4-game slate on FanDuel, it’s hard to find someone that we can feel good about.

Boston Celtics (vs. PHO): The Celtics have won 8 of their last 10 games and are 6 losses clear of the next best team in the NBA. Tonight they host the Suns, who are close to the league average in both pace and defensive rating. The Celtics are sizable home favorites and have a total that is 3.8 points below their season average. Kristaps Porzingis has been ruled out, while Jaylen Brown is listed as questionable. We should see another spot start for Al Horford, who has averaged 29.3 fantasy points per game with Porzingis out of the lineup. Derrick White and Jayson Tatum have also been big beneficiaries with Porzingis off the floor. And if Brown can’t suit up, a lot of options open up here.
