NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, April 1

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Moneyball16: Mika Zibanejad – With Jack Roslovic, Mika only has 9 points in 12 games, but with him on the court, the team has been playing better since the deadline, and Mika does have 37 shots in those 12 games, which is a nice boost. At $5,500 he is just too cheap for someone with Zibanejad’s track record as well.

ezellmt: Nikita Kucherov – With MacKinnon soaking up so much ownership, I think Kucherov could be slightly overlooked. His biggest issue lately has been the lack of shot volume, but he addressed that in his last game with 8 shots on goal. He’s even money to finish with multiple points, and I think he gets there against a hot-and-cold Red Wings team.

Joda: Chris Kreider – Alexis Lafreniere erupted for 5 points last time out, so I think if the Rangers get any attention, it will come in the form of the second line. Meanwhile, Kreider has goals in back-to-back games and makes for an affordable 1-2 punch with Mika Zibanejad as a balanced approach to tournaments.

What’s your hot take of the slate?
