Cameron Payne (illness) will not make his Bulls debut tonight; Anthony Morrow and Joffrey Lauvergne will be in uniform but not expected to play

Payne isn't going to make his debut tonight, but he'll likely find his way into the Bulls rotation as early as tomorrow. The guard spot is a logjam in Chicago, but Payne is expected to be given a chance to secure a meaningful role. It's still unclear what roles Morrow and Lauvergne will take on.

Bulls trade Taj Gibson and Doug McDermott to Thunder for Cameron Payne, Anthony Morrow and Joffrey Lauvergne

The Thunder have acquired a veteran power forward in Taj Gibson, a spot where they've been starting unproven rookie Domantas Sabonis, so that's an upgrade for the team in that regard. The rest of the deal saw Doug McDermott go to the Thunder in exchange for Cameron Payne, Anthony Morrow, and Joffrey Lauvergne. The Bulls obtain some quality young talent in Cameron Payne who should be given every opportunity to start at point guard while Anthony Morrow provides a defensive presence. Bobby Portis should receive a huge boost with Gibson out of the way in Chicago although Lauvergne could potentially see some run as well.

Alex Abrines (back spasms) ruled out for Friday

Abrines will miss another game due to back spasms, which should lead to Anthony Morrow remaining a part of the Thunder's rotation on Friday. Morrow has averaged 27 minutes per game in the last two contests with Abrines on the shelf, and it's likely he ends up close to that number again tonight, although he isn't a recommended DFS option against the Grizzlies, especially with Westbrook/Oladipo healthy. The OKC side in general isn't that appealing tonight, but Westbrook still profiles as a nice upside tournament target, which is the case anytime he's in a tough match-up. The rest of the Thunder are worth avoiding on a rather large nine-game slate.

Victor Oladipo (wrist) ruled out for Friday

Oladipo will miss his sixth consecutive game due to a wrist injury on Friday against the Celtics. Anthony Morrow has started in his place but has yet to make a DFS impact. Enes Kanter finally had a big game but that was somewhat expected against a big Pelicans squad that is weak in the rebounding department. Andre Roberson also continued to play well in the absence of Oladipo. He's averaged 22.3 DK FPTS over his last three starts.

Anthony Morrow confirmed as the starter in place of Victor Oladipo

Oladipo will not play in tonight's game against the Atlanta Hawks due to a sprained right wrist that has kept him sidelined for the Thunder's previous three games as well. Anthony Morrow will be inserted to the starting lineup at shooting guard, sending Grant to the bench and Roberson to his customary small forward position. Both Morrow and Roberson are viable punt options in tournaments given the abbreviated slate, though it's debatable whether either player really has the necessary ceiling. It really goes without saying that Russell Westbrook is the top overall play on tonight's slate, but Steven Adams also sees a 4.7% usage rate increase over his season average (16.9%) with Oladipo off the court, and he could be a sneaky option despite the less than ideal matchup with Dwight Howard defense.

Anthony Morrow starting for Victor Oladipo (wrist) tonight; Jerami Grant to the bench

Oladipo will not play in tonight's game against the Phoenix Suns due to a sprained right wrist that has kept him sidelined for the Thunder's previous two games as well. Anthony Morrow will be inserted to the starting lineup at shooting guard, sending Grant to the bench and Roberson to his customary small forward postion. Both Morrow and Roberson are viable punt options in tournaments on the all day slates, though it's debatable whether either player really has the necessary ceiling. It really goes without saying that Russell Westbrook is the top overall play on tonight's slate, but Steven Adams also sees a 4.7% usage rate increase over his season average (16.9%) with Oladipo off the court, and he could be a sneaky option despite the less than ideal matchup with Tyson Chandler defense.

Victor Oladipo (wrist) ruled out for tonight

Victor Oladipo will not play against the Jazz tonight. Jerami Grant started in his place but the Thunder were blown out. There is a chance that the starting lineup gets changed again here tonight. Anthony Morrow could start but he does not have a ton of upside. The Jazz are a strong defensive team and since Grant is not a strong offensive player it seems more likely that Morrow could be used as the offensive spark. Look for another update regarding the Thunder's lineup.

Victor Oladipo OUT tonight for Thunder

Confirmation of what most thought would happen as Oladipo will sit tonight against Portlant. He's also in question for their game against Utah tomorrow. Russell Westbrook's already sky high usage will get even higher as there just aren't that many offensive weapons on the Thunder outside of these two. Anthony Morrow could see a bump in usage and Enes Kanter could get additional minutes off the bench - he makes for a very interesting GPP option tonight.

Andre Roberson could be replaced in the starting lineup

The Thunder basically played 4 on 5 on offense since the Spurs did not even respect Roberson on that end. Head Coach Billy Donovan was not pleased with his performance in Game 1 even though the Thunder have been a solid offensive team with Roberson starting the entire season. Nothing official has been mentioned at this time but if there is a change, we can expect it to be Dion Waiters or Anthony Morrow. We will keep you posted but there is a chance the news comes after lineups lock since the Thunder and Spurs play in the second game of the night.

Thunder will start Foye, Waiters, Morrow, Kanter, and Adams on Wednesday

The Thunder are resting their studs tonight so they will have an entirely new group playing together tonight. Enes Kanter deserves the most consideration and will be expected to carry the Thunder against a Blazers team that struggles to defend bigs. Dion Waiters will also get up a ton of shots with the Thunder lacking any star power tonight. Kanter has the potential to have the highest floor, making him viable in both cash games and tournaments.
