Danny Woodhead (hamstring) active Sunday; Terrance West and Breshad Perriman are healthy scratches

The Baltimore Ravens officially activated Danny Woodhead from injured reserve on Saturday and will be active for today's game against the Green Bay Packers after missing the last nine weeks with a hamstring injury he sustained during the season opener. The Ravens backfield is suddenly healthy for the first time with Woodhead, Alex Collins, Terrance West and Buck Allen all on the active roster, which is why West is the odd man out and will be a healthy scratch with Baltimore deciding to only activate three running backs this afternoon. Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg already confirmed that Alex Collins will remain the team's lead back for the foreseeable future, though that role is obviously subject to change depending on how this running back rotation shakes out throughout Sunday's game. It's still a cloudy situation but one would imagine this means Woodhead would serve as the passing down and change-of-pace back, if healthy, while Allen would just be around to clean up the scraps and likely see his snap count drastically reduced.

Terrance West (calf) cleared to play Sunday, but may be a healthy scratch

West was previously listed as questionable on the Baltimore Ravens' injury report for today's game against the Green Bay Packers with a calf injury, but he has reportedly been cleared to play, though he may end up being a healthy scratch with Danny Woodhead set to make his return from injured reserve. West was a full participant in practice all week so he ultimately was expected to suit up for Week 11, despite the earlier questionable designation. The Ravens backfield is suddenly healthy for the first time with West, Woodhead, Alex Collins, and Buck Allen all on the active roster, which would leave West as the odd man out if Baltimore decides to only utilize three active running backs in today's game. Terrance West (calf) questionable for Sunday; Ravens LT Ronnie Stanley (concussion) doubtful

West has been listed as questionable on the Baltimore Ravens' injury report for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers with a calf injury. He was a full participant in practice all week so remains expected to suit up for Week 11, despite the injury designation. The Ravens backfield is suddenly relatively healthy with Danny Woodhead also a candidate to return from injured reserve this weekend and it remains to be seen if Baltimore keeps all four running backs active once they are all cleared to play. That said, offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg confirmed that Alex Collins will remain the team's lead back for the foreseeable future, though that role is obviously subject to change depending on how this running back rotation shakes out. If Woodhead is able to return for Week 11, either West or Buck Allen figures to the be the odd man if Woodhead is anywhere near as productive as he was prior to the injury.

Alex Collins will remain Ravens featured back Week 11

Terrance West and Danny Woodhead are both practicing this week and questionable for Sunday. Despite their potential returns to the field, offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg told reporters Thursday that Collins will keep his featured role this weekend against the Packers. The Ravens are road favorites and their stout secondary could overwhelm Brett Hundley and keep game flow in Collins' favor. Green Bay is eighth in adjusted line yards (3.61) but they're allowing the tenth-most rushing touchdowns to RBs (0.67/g) and the 13th-most rushing yards (99.33/g). Collins hardly gets any action in the passing game - three receptions all year - and Woodhead's presence would further diminish the limited potential Collins has in the area. It would also be a big drag on Buck Allen's production. Allen currently leads the team in targets and derives most of his fantasy production through his work in the passing game, so if Woodhead is expected to handle a decent workload, Allen would slip off the fantasy radar. If West is active, he could steal some early-down work from Collins, limiting Collins' upside. It's worth following this situation into the weekend as Collins may also lose his fantasy appeal if West plays despite his "featured" designation.

Terrance West and Michael Campanaro ruled out for Week 9; Jeremy Maclin and Mike Wallace questionable

Per beat writer Jeff Zrebiec, coach John Harbaugh expects Collins to get more and more opportunities in the coming weeks. That would come at the expense of Buck Allen, who played a season-low 31 snaps in Week 8 to Collins' 32. The running back was impressive on his way to 113 rushing yards on 18 carries (6.3ypc) against a Miami defense that ranked seventh in adjusted line yards (per FO) heading into the week. He leads the league with 6.0 yards per carry and now he's getting a little involved in the passing game, a role once monopolized by Allen. On Thursday, Collins successfully hauled in both of his targets for 30 yards, showing the coaching staff his versatility. He'll battle the Titans this weekend, whose defense is allowing the eighth-fewest rushing yards per game to RBs (81.4) but they're 19th in adjusted line yards (per FO). At $4.6 on DraftKings this week, Collins could turn out to be a bargain if he ends up with an expanded role. Both Maclin and Wallace are expected to play this weekend. The Titans pass defense is allowing the third-most touchdowns to WRs this season (1.3/g) but quarterback Joe Flacco has only tossed multiple scores in one game. As a team, the Ravens are last in the league in yards per drive and 28th in points per drive (per FO). Not surprisingly, they have a low implied total of 19.75 points this week.

Mike Wallace, Jeremy Maclin, and Breshad Perriman questionable for Week 8, Michael Campanaro doubtful, Terrance West ruled out

Baltimore's top three receivers are officially questionable for their Thursday night game against the Dolphins. Joining them with a 'Q' tag: S Eric Weddle, TE Ben Watson, LB Terrell Suggs, LB Patrick Onwausor, RG Matt Skura, and CB Jimmy Smith. TE Maxx Williams has been ruled out and WR Chris Matthews is doubtful. Perriman and Maclin were inactive Sunday and Wallace exited early with a concussion so Flacco peppered Allen with a team-high 11 targets. The Dolphins are allowing the 11th-most receptions to RBs this season (5.8 per game) and now rank 28th in receiving RB DVOA after Matt Forte and Bilal Powell combined for a 7/81/0 line in Week 7. Allen out-snapped Alex Collins 88 to 38 over the past two weeks without West and he should continue that trend against the pass-funnel Miami defense that ranked third in rush DVOA and 27th against the pass. At receiver, Chris Moore and Griff Whalen both played 58-of-65 snaps last Sunday. Moore was second on the team with eight looks and hauled in Flacco’s lone TD but he finished with just two receptions. He ended up leading the team in receiving yards despite only having 44 of them. Even if the top three receivers miss another game, it doesn’t seem like he’ll offer much upside. If Maclin is able to make his return, he'll have a nice matchup with Dolphins slot CB Bobby McCain, who's given up 16 receptions on 18 targets when lined up inside. It's not a particularly appealing game though as it features two inept offenses. Not surprisingly, Vegas has given it the lowest total on the board (37).

Mike Wallace, Breshad Perriman, and Jeremy Maclin are practicing again Tuesday; Terrance West and Michael Campanaro aren't participating

Benjamin Watson isn't participating either but he was present yesterday and could be getting a vet's rest day Tuesday. Overall, Baltimore's pass-catchers are pretty banged up heading into their Thursday night showdown against Miami. Perriman and Maclin were inactive Sunday and Wallace exited early with a concussion so Flacco peppered Allen with a team-high 11 targets. The Dolphins are allowing the 11th-most receptions to RBs this season (5.8 per game) and ranked 21st in receiving RB DVOA heading into Week 7 – before Matt Forte and Bilal Powell combined for a 7/81/0 line. Allen out-snapped Alex Collins 88 to 38 over the past two weeks without West and he should continue that trend against the pass-funnel Miami defense that ranked second in rush DVOA and 28th against the pass heading into Week 7. Not surprisingly, Vegas has given it the lowest total on the board (37.5).

Mike Wallace and Terrance West didn't practice Monday; Breshad Perriman and Jeremy Maclin participated

Wallace and Perriman are both dealing with concussions. Perriman's return to practice today indicates he's on track to suit up Thursday night but Wallace will have a tough time getting cleared on a short week. After suffering a setback while warming up yesterday, Maclin was ruled out. It was his second absence in a row but he could get back out there against the Dolphins though. RB West isn't expected to be able to suit up as he continues to rehab a calf injury. Buck Allen out-snapped Alex Collins 41-16 in Week 7 and should continue that trend Thursday night. With all of the injuries at receiver, Flacco peppered Allen with a team-high 11 targets. The Dolphins are allowing the 11th-most receptions to RBs this season (5.8 per game) and ranked 21st in receiving RB DVOA heading into Week 7 – before Matt Forte and Bilal Powell combined for a 7/81/0 line. At receiver, Chris Moore and Griff Whalen both played 58-of-65 snaps. Moore was second on the team with eight looks and hauled in Flacco’s lone TD but he finished with just two receptions. He ended up leading the team in receiving yards despite only having 44 of them. Even if the top three receivers miss another game, it doesn’t seem like he’ll offer much upside.

Terrance West and Breshad Perriman aren't practicing Wednesday; Jeremy Maclin is participating

Tight end Maxx Williams is also sidelined. West may remain sidelined this weekend, leaving Buck Allen and Alex Collins in a timeshare. The latter out-carried the former 15-10, marking the third time in four weeks he's earned more work on the ground. Collins isn't involved in the passing game though and Allen has averaged 4.6 receptions over the past five games. They take on the Vikings this weekend, whose defense has been solid against running backs on the ground (5th in rush DVOA, 10th in adjusted line yards, per FO) and through the air (10th in receiving RB DVOA). It doesn't look like a great spot for either guy. Maclin could have a decent matchup with Terrance Newman if he returns from a one-game absence. The cornerback has allowed the eighth-most yards per cover snap when lined up inside (1.39, per PFF). Even so, Baltimore's inefficient offense has only provided him with 5.6 targets per game, limiting his appeal.

Terrance West ruled out for Week 6, DT Brandon Williams doubtful, Breshad Perriman and CB Jimmy Smith questionable

Smith and Perriman are both expected to play. West is expected to miss some time after he re-aggravated a calf injury this past weekend. He's essentially the third running back behind Javorius Allen and Alex Collins but his absence should provide a slight snap boost for the other two. Allen has now played 62.6% of the snaps and he's out-carried Collins 66 to 37. However, Collins has been a much more effective back on the ground; his 7.1 ypc has him leading the team with 261 rushing yards to Allen's 232. Collins hasn't even been targeted once in the passing game though and Allen is second on the team with 24 looks. Volume should be on Allen's side again when they take on the Bears in Week 6. He'll continue to have more appeal in full PPR formats as he's averaged 5.0 receptions per game over the past four weeks. However, he's also been the trusted back in the red zone, picking up 14 carries inside the 20 - the sixth-most in the league - while Collins hasn't received any. Williams has been inactive for the past few weeks and still isn't ready to return, which is a boost for Jordan Howard this weekend. Smith, who returned to practice today, missed practice Wednesday and Thursday last week with an Achilles injury and still played on Sunday. Perriman returned yesterday. He's been very inefficient this season, catching just 4-of-15 targets and he hasn't topped four looks in any game this season - he won't be a viable fantasy option in Week 6.
