March Madness Player Props – Thursday, March 21

DQ Cole OVER 16.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

DQ Cole has been erratic of late, but his peaks make him worthy of consideration in the opening round of this year’s NCAA tournament. Since February 10, Cole has scored at least 12 points in 6 of 9 games, with at least 11 shot attempts in 4 of those contests. He has recorded as many as 11 rebounds in that stretch and as many as 7 assists, meaning that he’s capable of contributing a large number of counting statistics in any of the three main categories – points + rebounds + assists. This should be a high-scoring affair against a Kentucky team that has struggled defensively this season, which should create plenty of opportunities for Cole to put up good numbers.

Jordan Lathon UNDER 20.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Jordan Lathon has been productive for Morehead State this season, averaging 15.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists, but he’s not a particularly efficient player, which puts him at risk of a poor performance in the opening round of this year’s NCAA tournament. Illinois hasn’t been great defensively this year, but this is still one of the toughest matchups that Lathon has faced on this season’s schedule. Though this game doesn’t technically qualify as a road game, it’s certainly not a home game for Morehead State. Lathon has compiled less than 21 points + rebounds + assists in 5 of his last 7 road contests and could struggle again on Thursday.

Jack Gohlke OVER 17.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Jack Gohlke is playing really good basketball entering the NCAA tournament this year, with at least 18 points + rebounds + assists (PRA) in 9 of his last 13 games. During that stretch, Gohlke has 8 games with at least 15+ points and 6 games with at least 19 points, meaning that he could threaten to cover this number with his scoring alone. However, he’s also been a consistent source of rebounds of late and has even contributed as many as 5 assists in a game this month. Facing a weak Kentucky defense, Gohlke should be able to put together a strong performance.
