Washington vs. Michigan Player Props

Michael Penix Jr. UNDER 24.5 Completions (-136), FanDuel

Michael Penix Jr. has eclipsed this market number in each of his last two games but only twice overall in six games against ranked opponents this season. According to PFF, he completed 73.6% of his pass attempts this fall from a clean pocket but only 45.1% of his pass attempts when under duress, which could be problematic in a matchup against Michigan on Monday. The Wolverines defense owns the 4th-best pass rush grade this season and is likely to get more pressure on Penix Jr. than he has faced in any other game this year. The under is a worthwhile risk in this spot.

Blake Corum OVER 22.5 Rush Attempts (-118), FanDuel

Washington’s defense has been consistently derided for their inability to consistently get off of the field this year, and that is primarily due to their struggles against the run. The Huskies allowed 133.8 rushing yards per game this year despite the fact that they are undefeated and have rarely allowed their opponents to play with a positive game script into the second half. That could change on Monday, priced as a 4.5-point underdog. Blake Corum is more than capable of handling a significant workload, having as many as 28 carries in a single game this season. If Michigan is able to get ahead early in this contest, they could run Corum into the ground as they look to secure the title.

J.J. McCarthy UNDER 0.5 Interceptions (-135), DraftKings

J.J. McCarthy has thrown 4 interceptions this season, but 3 of those came in one game. In his other 13 games this season, McCarthy has thrown only 1 interception in 301 pass attempts. Facing a Washington defense that lacks an elite pass rush, McCarthy should not be forced into many ill-advised throws on Monday. Getting a playable price here is remarkable, considering how well McCarthy has been able to protect the football so far this year. We will live with the results here.
