Iowa vs. LSU PrizePicks Predictions Today

Caitlin Clark More/Less Than 32.5 Points

Is there a college athlete with a more recognizable name right now than Caitlin Clark? The standout Iowa guard had a phenomenal regular season and has carried her success into the tournament, averaging 29.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 9.3 assists in three double-digit victories. That being said, seemingly everyone wants to invest in Clark’s magical run in one way or another, which means that fantasy pick’em options are inflating her numbers ahead of tip-off. Clark is a sensational talent, but she averaged only 31.7 points per game in 36 regular season contests and has yet to score more than 32 points in a tournament game to date this spring. LSU has a respectable perimeter defense and held their opponents to 29.2% shooting from beyond the arc this season. They could force Clark into some difficult shots tonight.

Angel Reese More/Less Than 12.5 Rebounds

Angel Reese has been a destroyer of worlds on the glass this season for LSU, and that has only continued into the tournament. After averaging 13.2 rebounds per game during the regular season, Reese posted 19 rebounds in the team’s tournament opener against Rice and has followed up with a pair of 11-rebound performances against MTSU and UCLA. This evening, she has a tough test against an Iowa team that has out-rebounded their opponent in each of their first three tournament games. However, it’s also possible that a tightly-contested game script leads to more missed shots between two teams capable of defending at a respectable level. Reese should be good for at least 35 minutes in this matchup if she stays out of foul trouble. She could be in for a big night on the boards as she looks to keep LSU’s season alive.

Kate Martin More/Less Than 13.0 Points

Kate Martin has been playing extremely good basketball of late, including the tournament. Since January 27th, she has scored at least 13 points in 12 of 16 games. Outside of a poor 2-for-7 shooting performance against West Virginia in the Second Round of the tournament, she has been a valuable contributor in her team’s run to the Elite 8, scoring 15 points against Holy Cross and 14 points against Colorado. If we see Caitlin Clark get blitzed by LSU tonight, it will mean more shot attempts for everyone else, including Martin. If she can be somewhat efficient with her opportunities, she has a good chance to get the job done here.
