Introduction to the Course

A successful daily fantasy sports (DFS) player knows the rules. They take advantage of the rules and use them in their favor. This past offseason FanDuel (FD) made the biggest rule change to their NBA contests in recent memory – dropping your lowest score. While the roster sizes (9) and restrictions (2 PG, 2 SG, 2 SF, 2 PF, 2 C) remained the same the player with the lowest score on a DFS’ers roster, regardless of position, would be dropped each night. In other words, only a DFS’ers top eight scorers would count toward their nightly total. This course examines how the rule change has affected scoring on FD, ways you can use the scoring system in your favor, and how lineup construction compares to Draftkings (DK).
