Sleeper Fantasy promo code details.

What is Sleeper Fantasy?

Sleeper began in 2014 as simply a popular app to discuss fantasy football. In 2017, Sleeper launched its free fantasy football leagues, making design and tech its top priority as it looked to compete with ESPN and Yahoo!? as a top season-long fantasy site.

Fast forward to 2022, and Sleeper Fantasy has launched its innovative Over/Under game to begin competing with the giants of the daily fantasy sports industry. This all while it continues to disrupt the season-long fantasy sports space to take down Yahoo!, ESPN, and CBS Sports from their long-held perches as fantasy football champions

By parlaying Sleeper’s state-of-the-art app and technology to offer daily fantasy player props, the Sleeper app is now a one-stop shop for all of your fantasy sports needs.

Oh, and there are 22 more new features coming soon on the Sleeper Fantasy app!

Sleeper app is getting 22 new features soon!

Sleeper has become the FASTEST ORGANICALLY GROWING FANTASY PLATFORM IN THE WORLD (with over 4MM ACTIVE USERS in 2021), while earning some of the highest levels of engagement per user in the industry. As a result, the Sleeper Fantasy app generates 2 BILLION MOBILE IMPRESSIONS a year!

At Sleeper, it’s not just about sports; it’s about building personal connections and lasting memories.

Why Daily Fantasy?

Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) is a popular alternative to sports betting and is played by millions of people, but season-long fantasy football has been around longer and has a larger audience. Many people have played in the same fantasy football league for decades, some starting before fantasy football websites were even available. Even with the rise of DFS and legal sports betting, regular ol’ season-long fantasy sports are still extremely popular.

DFS is innovative and constantly evolving, but season-long fantasy football, basketball, and baseball have stayed pretty much the same since their beginnings in the 1980s.

Not A Regular DFS Site

Sleeper is not a DFS site like Betcha, ThriveFantasy, or SuperDraft. Sleeper offers an Over/Under game similar to what is offered by other DFS sites, which we will get into in subsequent sections. Other than that Sleeper focuses on season-long fantasy leagues. Sleeper has many similar attributes to DFS sites, including social media engagement, an app-only interface that we will review below, and several Reddit-style discussion channels. Overall, however, we would not classify it as a traditional DFS site.

In short, Sleeper is a fantasy sports site that is different from DFS sites and also a little different from traditional season-long fantasy sports operators. Sleeper keeps its offerings limited but does a good job of creating engaging content and offerings that appeal to younger users who are comfortable with social media and using smartphone apps. Sleeper’s season-long platforms are available on desktop and mobile, but 90% of their users are on mobile.

As for their new Over/Under game, that can be found on mobile only.

How is Sleeper Different from the competition?

The main way Sleeper differs from the competition is its focus on season-long contests. New fantasy sports companies have lately tended to focus on the DFS market, leaving season-long fantasy sports to the big guys who have dominated the industry since the 1990s. But the season-long fantasy sports market is bigger than DFS, available in every state, and hasn’t changed much in a long time. By offering the same fantasy sports with a new, innovative user experience, Sleeper may have found a niche that others have overlooked or haven’t been successful at penetrating.

Fantasy sports offered on the Sleeper App

Season-long Fantasy NFL football

Starting with the biggest fantasy sport of them all, Sleeper has a dynamite NFL fantasy product. They make it easy to create a league or find a league to join and have easily customizable settings for anyone to try out. Want a PPR league? Done. Want regular default scoring? Easy. Want 4 flex positions and no Kicker or Defense with a 10-player bench? Ok, Sleeper doesn’t judge. Whatever settings you want, Sleeper provides. It’s easy to invite friends to join your league or you can open things up to the Fantasy Football channel and fill your league with fellow Sleeper-heads.

Always listening to the community and adding new features, the social element is also key here as Sleeper has chat integrated into the app. It’s a social platform at heart.

Season-long Fantasy NBA basketball

NBA basketball might be the second-biggest fantasy sport, so it makes sense that Sleeper would pick the league as its second season-long fantasy offering. Hoopheads will love the easy-to-use format that is perfect for seasoned fantasy basketball vets and rookies alike. NBA fans are known for their social media engagement, and Sleeper understands the need to be able to easily talk smack and post .gifs in the chat thread. If you’re into that sort of thing, Sleeper has you covered.

In 2018, the fantasy sports experts at Sleeper realized that fantasy basketball was broken. Games were being won and lost based on whose players had more scheduled games that week. It made no sense and required very little strategy. So, in 2020, Sleeper released a BRAND-NEW WAY OF PLAYING FANTASY BASKETBALL, it’s called Game Pick, and it’s ONLY available on Sleeper. In Game Pick, owners pick a single game per week for each starter to count towards their team’s total score – ensuring an even number of games played between opponents.

Fantasy League of Legends (LoL) Pro Leagues: LCS/America and LEC/Europe

Ok, we are honestly a little unfamiliar with fantasy League of Legends. Apparently, there are two leagues, one in America and one in Europe. Sleeper offers season-long fantasy contests in both leagues. The official LCS/LEC season goes from January to November, which is obviously much longer than any sports league. Don’t worry, though. You don’t have to follow the league for 11 months. You can create a league and draft your team with your friends any time during the season. Esports are more popular than ever, and Sleeper is ahead of the curve in offering a great fantasy LoL product.

“Bracket Mania” NCAA Tournament Bracket Game

You probably fill out an NCAA basketball tournament bracket each March. You probably use Yahoo or ESPN and rarely post anything in the chat box. After the first two days you are in 48th place and barely pay any more attention to the contest. Sound familiar? Sleeper understands this and created a Bracket Mania game that practically reinvents the bracket game. Geared toward those who love blowing up their group chats and talking endless smack about the 13 seed they picked that ended up overtaking the favored 4 seed, Sleeper’s Bracket Mania game will be a favorite choice of college basketball fans for years to come.

Over/Under Details

Sleeper recently launched their unique and innovative product called Over/Under, the first ever real money gaming contest that connects friends over parlays:

  • GROUP PLAY: Every user is part of a group, often times made up of friends.
  • CHAT WITH FRIENDS: Within each Over / Under group is a chatroom, where members of a group can see/debate each contest made by friends in their group
  • CONTESTS WITH FRIENDS: Once a user’s contest is posted into the chatroom, friends can then join that same contest and ride it out together
  • FANTASY INTEGRATION: Not only can you enter a contest via an O/U group itself, but you can also do so through your fantasy league’s matchup screen
  • CROSS-GAME CONTESTS: Users can place contests against players playing in different games; mix and match.

Sleeper’s Over/Under game is a simple pick-em contest between friends or in larger groups where you pick whether a player will end up getting over or under a certain statistic, like rushing or passing yards, points, rebounds, and so on.

For example, Patrick Mahomes might be listed at 225 yards passing for an upcoming game. You pick whether he will throw over or under that number. The more picks you get right, the more money you can win. It’s like a parlay bet without the vig. The Over/Under game requires a payment, which is where the deposit match comes in. The contests start at just $1, and your first $100 is covered with the special GRINDERS promo code. Remember that this game is not available in every state. Check the Sleeper app to see if you live in a state where the Over/Under game is allowed.

Mock Drafts for NFL, NBA, and LOL

This may be where Sleeper shines. Mock drafts are a great way to hone strategy before draft day. Sleeper makes it easy to practice your drafting by yourself against the Sleeper bots or against others in the Sleeper user community. It’s just like the real thing, complete with all the stats and rankings you need to create a winning team on draft day. Seriously, this may be the best part of Sleeper. Mock drafts take just a few minutes and are very helpful to anticipate when players may be taken. Another benefit is the mock draft feature is available even if you don’t want to create your own league. Just download the app and try out a mock draft. Nothing to it.

How to Sign Up for a Sleeper Account

Signing up for an account is easier than doing something that is very easy, like drinking water from a glass. All you have to do is follow a few steps and you are ready to start making Over/Under picks and drafting teams.

Before signing up for an account, be sure to click on our special sign-up link so that you can get the $100 deposit match. It’s the easiest way to ensure you qualify for the promotion. If that isn’t possible, remember that the Sleeper Fantasy promo code is GRINDERS.

  • First, you have to create a username. Remember that this username is public, so you might not want to pick something too out there, but then again, a quick look at some user names reveals “akahotcheetos” and “fantasyclown” so if you want to get creative, go for it.
  • Second, you need to enter your email address and add a password. Once you enter the code sent to your email or phone number to verify your account, you’re ready to play.
  • Once you’re signed up, you can stop there if you want. You don’t have to actually sign up for a league. You can check out the channels for the latest fantasy sports information or you can participate in a mock draft to sharpen your skills.
Pick your Sleeper username and use the promo code GRINDERS.
The next step after downloading the Sleeper app and using the GRINDERS promo code is to pick a username. Get creative!

Sleeper Fantasy App Review

Sleeper is designed to be used as an app. There is a website, but its functionality is limited. You should expect to spend most of your time using the app. That’s not a bad thing, because the app is easy to navigate and actually works better than the website.

Once you’re logged in, your first stop is the home page, where you can choose whether to sign up for the Over/Under game or create a fantasy league. You can also find an existing league to join via Sleeper’s matchmaking or check out the channels to read the latest fantasy sports chatter. One tap on the three lines in the upper left corner takes you to your own hub where you can send and see all your messages. The hub also includes quick access to all the leagues and another way to access the channels. One tap at the bottom of the page takes you to banking options, social media mentions, and the list of friends on the site.

Two swipes to the right take you to a list of all the players available for the upcoming season, listed in order of “trending” or average draft position. Additional tabs include a watchlist where you can keep track of all your favorite players, scores of all the week’s games, a podcast page, and all the picks you have in any upcoming contests.

Sleeper app shows you trending players.
Sleeper lets you know in real-time which players are trending and why

Sleeper Social Media Engagement

Sleeper Fantasy is different from the competition in many ways, but the biggest difference is its focus on social media engagement. The app makes it easy to chat with friends or anyone, really, about fantasy sports. It’s like your own Instagram account just for fantasy sports, complete with .gifs and memes. Chat during the game, brag about your wins, or ask for advice from others, all through the app the same way you text the group chat about upcoming games.

Use the search function to find users and groups on the Sleeper app.
The search function is supposed to find users and groups. We hope it will be improved soon.

Sleeper Customer Service

Sleeper has a top-notch customer service team that responds to all inquiries in less than 24 hours.

There is a Support Help Center page that has answers to many common questions. There is also an email address in case you want to seek answers that way. Since Sleeper is so social media savvy, your best bet might be to @ them on Twitter or slip into their DMs (did we say that right?). Either way you want to do it, any question you have will probably be answered by the nice folks at Sleeper.

Sleeper Fantasy FAQ

Where can I play Sleeper?

You can sign up for a Sleeper account and join a fantasy league no matter where you are in America. Once money gets involved, such as paying for a cash league or playing the Over/Under game, the list narrows a bit. Sleeper uses geolocation to determine your location so it will tell you right away if you are eligible to play all their DFS games.

How does the Sleeper Over/Under game work?

Sleeper is the house and you are grouping up with friends and copying each other’s contests to beat Sleeper — remember to join our group, Sleeper.com/GRINDERS. All you have to do is pick whether a player will get over or under a certain statistic, like receiving yards or touchdowns thrown. Think DK Metcalf will catch over 1.5 TDs in an upcoming game? Take the Over. The more you get right, the more $$ you win.

That said, the Over/Under game is not open to everyone. If you live in the following states, you can’t play the game because of the entry fee, which many states do not allow. Interestingly, many of the states that are on this list actually have legalized sports betting, so there could be more to the prohibition than just the entry fee. If you’re in AL, AZ, CO, CT, DE, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, LA, ME, MD, MI, MS, MO, MT, NV, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, TN, VA, WA, or WV, you’re sadly out of luck.

Does Sleeper have any promotions?

Why yes, Sleeper has a great promotion for new customers. If you sign up using this link and/or use the promo code GRINDERS, you will get up to a $100 match on your first deposit. What a deal! Signing up for Sleepers only takes a few minutes, and your first $100 spent on the site is covered. Can’t ask for much more than that. Remember to use the promo code GRINDERS before making your first deposit in order to get the $100 deposit match.
