Latavius Murray Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

NOS RB Latavius Murray and TE J.P. Holtz have been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday.

NOS RB Latavius Murray and TE J.P. Holtz have been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday.

BAL RB Latavius Murray expected to play Sunday

Latavius Murray is expected to play Sunday against the Chicago Bears. Latavius Murray seems to be trending towards playing and should reenter the running back committee for the Ravens alongside Devonta Freeman and Ty’Son Williams. The Ravens backfield could be busier than usual if Lamar Jackson is forced to miss Sunday due to an illness. This would make all backs slightly better plays though it is still best to avoid them in DFS contests if possible due to the running back by committee approach implemented by Coach Harbaugh.

BAL QB Lamar Jackson and WR Rashod Bateman not listed on injury report for Sunday; RB Latavius Murray, WR Marquise Brown, WR Devin Duvernay, and TE Nick Boyle listed questionable; WR Miles Boykin listed out

Lamar Jackson and Rashod Bateman have not been listed on the injury report for Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears after dealing with non-COVID related illnesses. Latavius Murray, Marquise Brown, Devin Duvernay, and Nick Boyle have all been listed as questionable Latavius Murray seems to be trending towards playing and should reenter the running back committee for the Ravens alongside Devonta Freeman and Ty'Son Williams. If Marquise Brown were to miss, Rashod Bateman and Sammy Watkins would the the Ravens' top receivers and would see increased value based on expected volume. If Nick Boyle were to miss Eric Tomlinson would likely fill his role backing up Mark Andrews as the lead tight end.

BAL RB Latavius Murray returns to practice Wednesday

Latavius Murray has returned to practice Wednesday ahead of the Ravens matchup with the Chicago Bears on Sunday. This was expected after Le'Veon Bell was released yesterday and it seems as though Murray should be healthy enough to take back his role in the Baltimore backfield alongside fellow members Devonta Freeman and Ty'Son Williams. Freeman and Murray should be expected to see the bulk of the carries with Williams mixing in as well, though not playing nearly as many snaps. At this point, it is still best to avoid all members of the Ravens backfield due to the unreliable split of the work and Lamar Jackson’s rushing ability. This remains true in a tougher matchup against the Chicago Bears defense who is 10th in fantasy points allowed to running backs.

BAL RB Latavius Murray, WR James Proche, and TE Nick Boyle listed inactive for Thursday; Sammy Watkins available

Latavius Murray, James Proche, and Nick Boyle have been listed inactive for Thursday night's game against the Miami Dolphins. Latavius Murray was expected to miss after being listed doubtful yesterday. With Murray out, Devonta Freeman and Le’Veon Bell should see most of the running back snaps with Ty’Son Williams also mixing in. Eric Tomlinson should serve as the main backup and blocking tight end for the Ravens with Boyle unable to make his season debut. Sammy Watkins should return to his role as wide receiver three behind Marquise Brown and Rashod Bateman and will be a big play threat.

BAL RB Latavius Murray listed doubtful for Thursday; WR Sammy Watkins and TE Nick Boyle listed questionable

Latavius Murray has been listed doubtful for Thursday night's game against the Miami Dolphins while Sammy Watkins and Nick Boyle have both been listed questionable but are expected to play. With Murray likely out, Devonta Freeman and Le'Veon Bell should see most of the running back snaps with Ty'Son Williams also mixing in. Sammy Watkins should return to his role as wide receiver three behind Marquise Brown and Rashod Bateman. Boyle should return to his role as Mark Andrews backup and also see some snaps in two tight end sets.

BAL RB Latavius Murray DNP Tuesday; WR Sammy Watkins returned to practice and "should be ready to play Thursday"

Latavius Murray logged a DNP Tuesday while Sammy Watkins returned to practice and "should be ready to play Thursday" when the Ravens are scheduled to take on the Miami Dolphins. It will be important to monitor Murray's status ahead of Thursday night's game as he attempts to return from an ankle injury. If Murray were to miss Devonta Freeman, Le'Veon Bell, and Ty'Son Williams would continue to split the backfield work. With Watkins set to return, he should slot back into the number three wide receiver role for the Ravens behind Marquise Brown and Rashod Bateman. Watkins warrants consideration for the showdown slate due to his big play ability, one big touchdown catch could set him up to be in the optimal lineup.

BAL WR Sammy Watkins and RB Latavius Murray inactive Sunday

Latavius Murray was expected to be out but it is kind of a surprise that Sammy Watkins was listed inactive when indications were that he was trending towards playing Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. With Murray out, Devonta Freeman, Le’Veon Bell and Ty’Son Williams will continue to split the work in the Ravens backfield though none are worth playing in DFS at this point. With Watkins out, Rashod Bateman becomes a much better play and should have no competition to serve in the wide receiver two role behind Marquise Brown.

BAL RB Latavius Murray listed doubtful for Sunday; WR Sammy Watkins and WR Rashod Bateman both listed questionable

Latavius Murray has been listed doubtful for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings while Sammy Watkins and Rashod Bateman have both been listed as questionable. Watkins is trying to return from a thigh injury and would likely slot into the number three wide receiver role behind Marquise Brown and Rashod Bateman (expected to play according to coach). If he were unable to suit up, this role would continue to be played by Devin Duvernay. Murray is also trying to return this week to reclaim his role as the top running back in the Ravens committee but the prospects of this are looking grim. If he were unable to return Devonta Freeman, Le’Veon Bell and Ty’Son Williams would continue to split the work.

BAL WR Sammy Watkins returns to practice Thursday; RB Latavius Murray DNP

Sammy Watkins returned to practice Thursday while Latavius Murray logged a second DNP ahead of the Ravens matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. Watkins seems set to return to his wide receiver three role behind Marquise Brown and Rashod Bateman in what should be a decent matchup against the Vikings secondary. Latavius Murray was unable to practice and could be trending towards missing another game. If he were to miss Devonta Freeman, Le’Veon Bell and Ty’Son Williams would continue to split the work in the Baltimore backfield though none are worth considering in DFS contests.
