Opportunity

Sometimes, when I announce that a lesson is “going to be shorter,” it’s because I want to make sure you feel you are getting your money’s worth. I want you to realize the lesson was shorter because it could be shorter (that is, because it could contain all pertinent and valuable information while still being held to a manageable length) not because I was simply skipping valuable information and gypping you of knowledge. But, you see, I should just stop altogether with the announcements that a lesson is going to be shorter… because they never really are.

So, yes. I won’t tell you that these next two lessons will be a bit shorter — I won’t tell you that all we really need to do in this lesson and the next is bring up a few points you need to be aware of before exploring in the final lesson how these elements help us tie things together. I won’t do this, because I would probably be lying anyway. These lessons probably will not be substantially shorter, because I seem to be incapable of making lessons shorter.

So, rather than telling you that this lesson will be shorter, we’ll just jump into it and see what happens…
