(USA TODAY Sports)`

The Milwaukee Bucks rallied in the fourth quarter of Game 1 to get one of the biggest wins in franchise history. The Raptors hope to tie the series up Friday night. Here’s a sports betting review of Game 1  and a preview of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Milwaukee Bucks were able to come from behind to win their first Conference Finals game since 2001 Wednesday night.

It was Brook Lopez, not Giannis Antetokounmpo, who led Milwaukee to a 108-100 victory. Lopez had one of the best games of his career, scoring 29 points with 11 rebounds and four blocks.

Outscoring the Raptors 32-17 in the fourth quarter, the Bucks weren’t covering the 6.5-point spread until the final 28 seconds of the game. It was a definitely a tough loss for Toronto backers who were winning outright for the majority of the game.

It wasn’t just Lopez who had a career performance. Kyle Lowry scored 30 points for the Raptors for arguably his best career playoff game yet. Unfortunately, that was not enough to get the win as Kawhi Leonard went 0-for-3 in the fourth quarter and Toronto shot 0-for-8 in the final 3:40 as a team.

BetStars kept Milwaukee as 6.5-point favorites for Game 2 and the Over/Under is 216.

Stat of the Day

Brook Lopez made more 3-pointers in Game 1 than he did in his first eight seasons in the NBA combined. In fact, Lopez has reinvented his game over the last three seasons. It started in the 2016-17 season when Lopez made 134 3-pointers after making just three during his entire career prior.

This season, Lopez led the Milwaukee Bucks, who were second to only the Houston Rockets in 3-pointers attempted and made during the regular season, with 187 3-pointers.

Prop Shop (Monkey Knife Fight)

Like in Game 1, we’re sticking with the Under on Kawhi Leonard’s and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s points. The props are 33.5 and 28.5 respectively at Monkey Knife Fight.

Leonard’s 33.5 total is up two points from Game 1. Antetokounmpo’s fell a point from 29.5.

You could argue that we got lucky in the opening game of this series when Leonard failed to make a field goal in the final quarter. That won’t happen again, but I do think these defenses continue to buckle down and there’s value in taking the Under on these high playoff totals. Breakfast Lean: (Rapid Fire 2/3 1.98x payout at Monkey Knife Fight)

*Additionally, I love betting on Toronto to clean up on the glass. The Bucks shoot a ton of threes and the Raptors should see more success on the boards this game. Consider Over. 6.5  Siakam Rebounds and Over 8.5 Leonard Rebounds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Temperature Meter: Bucks hot against the spread.

The Milwaukee Bucks have been a cash cow for bettors this postseason. Not only have they won 9 of 10 games but they’ve also covered the number nine times.

The Breakfast Pick

Look, it’s tough to imagine Lopez or Lowry repeating their performances from Game 1. Both players had career nights scoring 29 and 30 points. Their points prop is just 11.5 and and 14.5 respectively for Game 2.

Dropping Game 1 with Lowry scoring 30 points is a tough pill to swallow, but  there’s plenty of reasons for the Raptors to be optimistic. For one, they led the majority of the game on the road and the loss came in large part to Leonard disappearing on the offensive end in the final quarter — also unlikely to repeat itself.

The Raptors and Bucks are much closer than the 6.5-point spread. The Bucks might be 9-1 against the number these playoffs but I’m taking the points again in what I expect to be a close game wire to wire. Breakfast Pick: Milwaukee Bucks +6.5  (FanDuel Sportsbook)
