The PGA Tour gets back on schedule following last week’s team event in New Orleans where Ryan Palmer and Jon Rahm won the Zurich Classic. This week the Tour heads to Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina for the Wells Fargo Championship.

Quail Hollow played host to the PGA Championship in 2017. While that year’s major championship winner Justin Thomas isn’t in the field, a handful of former winners are. Past champions teeing off Thursday include Rory McIlroy +600 , Jason Day +1200 and Rickie Fowler +1200.

If you can’t tell by those names, distance is a premium for golfers at Quail Hollow. In fact, at just over 7500 yards, the par-71 course is one of the longest and most difficult on tour.

With the golf betting world back in action after mainly taking last week off, there has been some major line movement for the Wells Fargo championship. Using opening and current lines from FanDuel Sportsbook, we look at some of the biggest movers before golfers tee off Thursday morning.

Tony Finau
Opened +2400
Current +1900

Bettors appreciate Tony Finau who certainly has the distance to win at Quail Hollow, not to mention solid course history. Finau is playing here for the fifth year in a row and has made the cut in all four of his previous appearances. The bomber finished 21st here in 2018 and 16th in 2015. Finau’s game has come a long way over the last two years and bettors are taking notice.

Jason Kokrak
Opened +4600
Current +3700

Only 12 golfers are favored over Jason Kokrak this week, who is still seeking his first PGA Tour win. Kokrak has moved ahead of Charles Howell +4600, Aaron Wise +4600 and Sunjae Im +5000 since odds were released at the beginning of the week and is now tied with Lucas Glover and Patrick Reed at +3700. The 33-year-old doesn’t have great history in Charlotte (missed four cuts since 2012), but his recent form is exceptional. Averaging 302 yards off the tee this season, Kokrak has notched four top-10 finishes in his last six tournaments including a runner-up at the Valspar Championship. Kokrak could very well find himself in contention again this weekend, but with the public catching on, value might already be gone.

Byeong-Hun An
Opened +6500
Current +5500

Byeong-Hun An’s odds have fallen from +6500 to +5500 despite missing the cut at The RBC Heritage two weeks ago. The poor outing isn’t scaring away bettors, and for good reason. Hun An made seven consecutive cuts leading up to The Heritage. Like Finau and Kokrak, the South Korean golfer is one of the longer hitters on tour. He is 13th in driving distance this season, averaging almost 310 yards off the tee. It’s An’s putting that holds him back. An is an abysmal 209th out of 213 golfers in strokes gained-putting, making his 10 of 11 made cuts and two top-10 finishes even more impressive. If the flat stick can finally catch fire, or hell, just shake off some ice, An will be holding a trophy sooner than later.

Henrik Stenson
Opened +3200
Current +4600

With a lot of attention on guys like Finau, Kokrak and and Hun-An, Henrik Stenson’s odds have moved the opposite direction. Stenson is now +4600 after opening at +3200. Stenson didn’t play here in 2018 but tied for 13th at the PGA Championship the year prior. Before that, Stenson missed four of five cuts at the event. The Swedish golfer doesn’t pull out his driver often but he is one of the best ball strikers on tour, which could play to his advantage at this difficult track. Worth noting, there were rumblings that Stenson was hitting the ball quite poorly in New Orleans last week. Like most bettors, I have a difficult time picturing Stenson in one of the final pairings this Sunday.

Sam Burns
Opened +12000
Current +9000

Recently engaged, Sam Burns is playing some of his best golf of his young career. Whether it put pressure on or took pressure off, I’m not sure, but whatever it is, it seems to be working. The former LSU All-American has made five straight cuts, his longest streak since joining the Tour. Burns was in the mix at The RBC Heritage and earned his second top-10 this season. The 22-year-old had a pair of top-25 finishes before that. Burns swings for the fences and has the game to succeed at Quail Hollow

Best Price: Burns +10000 at  BetStars

Adam Hadwin
Opened +19000
Current+9000

At +9000 Adam Hadwin is still a major long shot, but his implied win probability has more than doubled since the beginning of the week when his odds were as low as +19000. The Canadian has a solid 16th place finish here in 2018, but his recent form should leave bettors skeptical. Hadwin missed two of his last three cuts and has lost strokes gained-approach in five consecutive tournaments. Hadwin wasn’t on my radar to begin with and he certainly isn’t at the reduced odds.
