Mid-August Update: FD DFBC, DK Atlantis Finalists
Mid-August Update – A few more of our members have qualified for this summer’s blockbuster events, so we thought we’d roll out an updated list. The FanDuel World Fantasy Baseball Championship kicks off this Thursday with the Super High Roller, and the other live finals are right around the corner!
It might not feel like it, but the multi-million dollar finals we’ve been waiting for all spring and summer are quickly approaching. FanDuel’s DFBC will get the ball rolling on August 16th in Vegas, followed by DraftKings Atlantis Fantasy Baseball Championship on August 26th. We’re coming to the end of the qualifying season and as you might imagine, quite a few of our members have gained entry into these events and it’s safe to say the RotoGrinders community will be well represented. Some of them, mainly a few of the well-known GrindersLive hosts, have secured more then one entry into an event or have already qualified for multiple events. I know everyone is pumped for the start of football season, but the best part of the DFS baseball season is only a few days away. Let’s take a look at our qualified members across the live finals..

Woah, that is A LOT of qualified members! This event will get underway in Sin City on August 16th to cap off a week of star-studded events and will pay out $1,000,000 to 1st place, $300K to 2nd and $100K to 3rd. Six of the members listed above have multiple tickets, and it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see some of the names on this list add another entry to their arsenal. This qualified players list is scary enough as it is with guys like ehafner and DraftCheat with multiple entries, so this should be a very fun final to track this weekend.

Another very impressive list here, with all of these finalists already secured in spot in the the August 26th final in Atlantis! This will be the first live final outside the good old U.S. of A., and it will be a great time for everyone involved with DraftKings basically allowing the user to decide how they want to spend the five night VIP trip in the Bahamas. The grand prize of this one day tournament is a cool million in cash, with the top five finishers leaving with six-figure checks. GrindersLive host csuram88 has wasted no time securing his three entries; Showcase winner DirtyGirl15 (aka BeepImaJeep) has recently joined him with three entries of his own, while McJester and 00oreo00 both have two seats.

Something sounds familiar here… oh yeah, it’s McJester with three seats in a StarStreet final. After taking down 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the PBC, Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan biggest fan will to try replicate his success in the late August PFBC. Radthad954 also makes his return to the Mansion with two seats, and fellow grinders DKMaestro and Mirage88 have also recently secured their second entries. Notable names like BirdWings, PrimeTime420, naapstermaan, headChopper and britdevine are also in the field, so it’s certainly a star-studded pack.
