Stacking in Best Ball is the act of influencing variance by selecting players who can perform well in tandem. As example, a quarterback and wide receiver have correlated performance because they both accrue stats at the same time. In Best Ball tournaments, the theory is that stacking best ball teams will increase your volatility and therefore your chances of reaching the highest peaks in a given week should one of your stacks perform well. Only the top teams advance, and receive the largest payouts in the final week.
