The ProphetX welcome bonus doesn’t technically require a deposit, but you might want to buy packages of Prophet Points to earn Prophet Cash. This way, you can increase your chances of maxing out the full bonus. You may also earn Prophet Cash and be eligible for the 2% refund in other ways, such as via mail-in requests or other in-app promos.
How to Claim the ProphetX Bonus Offer

Here’s how to claim the bonus offer, no ProphetX bonus codes needed:
- Go to the ProphetX website or mobile app.
- Hit “Register” or “Create an account.”
- Enter your email address and create a unique password.
- Provide personal details, including first/last name, DOB, last 4 SSN digits, address, phone number, etc.
- Verify your account and play with Prophet Cash throughout the first 30 days to receive a 2% refund on your losses.
Terms and Conditions
The 2% refund on losses might not sound significant, but trust us when we say it adds up. It can help you offset some of your losses and even let you accumulate enough to win cash prizes. Just remember that Prophet Cash is subject to a 1x playthrough requirement and only hits your account as a 2% refund when your plays lose.
Who’s Eligible for the ProphetX Promo?
You must be a new user to claim the welcome bonus of up to 300 Prophet Cash.
Additionally, you’ll have to adhere to all of the terms and conditions, be at least 19 years old, and be physically present in a legal ProphetX state.
Users who aren’t eligible for the ProphetX promo code might be able to claim the Kalshi promo code as an alternative.
Promos for Existing ProphetX Users
Once you hit the cap of the matched Prophet Cash or the end of the 30 days (whichever comes first), you might wonder what other promos are available. I’ve discovered good bonuses such as the following throughout my time on the app:
- Refer-a-friend: When you share your referral link with a friend who uses it to sign up and play 50 Prophet Cash during their first 14 days, you’ll get a bonus of 25 Prophet Cash. Like the bonus funds from the signup offer, these bonus funds carry a 1x playthrough requirement.
- Mail-in requests: Since it operates in part under sweepstakes rules, ProphetX allows users to request Prophet Cash via mail. You can earn up to 2 Prophet Cash per card you send in, and you can only send in one card per sweepstakes period.
- Social media giveaways: Check ProphetX’s socials regularly to enter contests—you can win Prophet Cash and Points just by following their X, Instagram, Discord, TikTok, and/or YouTube posts.
- Free Prophet Coin refills: ProphetX wants you to keep playing, hence why they’ll automatically refill your Profit Points once your balance hits zero.
- Regular boosts: The app often runs promos based on whatever sport is in season, so check the promos page regularly for matched plays, profit boosts, etc.
ProphetX’s promos mimic many of those you’d find at the best DFS apps—check out our review for more info.
Win NBA Playoff Tickets at ProphetX
ProphetX’s latest promo is to win NBA playoff tickets. New users can score tickets for themselves and a friend, so check the platform’s social media pages for more info.
How Does ProphetX Work?

ProphetX is a peer-to-peer betting exchange that doesn’t rely on sportsbooks and their oddsmakers. Instead, bettors on their site are the oddsmakers.
By skipping traditional sportsbooks’ oddsmakers, ProphetX allows you, the user, to set your own odds in the hopes of someone taking you up on that bet. Or, you can accept a bet that another user has posted with his/her own odds. This model has been popular in Europe for years but has been slower to catch on here in the States. Regardless, exchange betting has become arguably the most exciting sports betting market in the world.
Note that ProphetX was originally Prophet Exchange and had launched in New Jersey in the summer of 2022. About two years later in May 2024, Prophet Exchange exited the Garden State before completely rebranding to ProphetX. Now, the social sports betting exchange is legal and available in the majority of states.
Example of ProphetX in Action
In simpler terms, ProphetX allows users to compete against each other instead of against the house.
For instance, you might have a feeling that the Tampa Bay Lightning will beat the Carolina Hurricanes. So, you create this bet and set the odds at +110.
Another user can “match” your bet by betting the opposite—that the Hurricanes will beat the Lightning. If you lose the bet, you’ll have to pay them 1.1 Prophet Cash. And if you win, you’ll get to keep the 1 Prophet Cash that the other user bet.
How ProphetX Differs From a Traditional Sportsbook
ProphetX allows bettors to cut out the “house” and bet against each other. Its peer-to-peer platform allows users themselves to set odds of their own in order to attract a bet… or to shop around for a price that seems to their liking. Again… the only people setting the odds are other bettors on the site.
ProphetX facilitates peer-to-peer betting action and holds onto the wagered funds. The company then rewards the winning user, while withholding a small fee along the way.
It all makes for a fun, social wagering experience that eliminates the middleman and ultimately provides better odds and better value for you, the wagering public.
ProphetX is definitely more similar to social sportsbooks than gambling apps, as it adheres to regulations that are arguably less restrictive.
Prophet Points vs. Prophet Cash
I’ve already alluded to the in-app currencies at ProphetX—Prophet Points and Prophet Cash.
So what exactly are they, and what’s the difference between the two?
ProphetX requires users to play with these currencies rather than real money, which helps the platform earn its status as a social sports betting exchange instead of a traditional sportsbook.
Prophet Points are the for-fun currency that carry no real monetary value. You can buy more in the store to keep playing or even earn them through promos.

If you’re interested in winning real money prizes, Prophet Cash will be your best friend. This currency is redeemable for cash prizes. You technically can’t purchase Prophet Cash, but it often comes as a bonus when you buy Prophet Points. Users also accumulate Prophet Cash via other ongoing promos and mail-in entries.

The Prophet Points and Prophet Cash system is similar to what we see at other sweepstakes platforms, including social casinos.
Pros of ProphetX
Here’s what I like about ProphetX:
- Unique and fun way of betting
- User-generated odds
- Lower vig than most traditional sportsbooks (ProphetX only takes 3% on winning bets vs. some sportsbooks taking as high as 5% on all bets)
- Generous welcome bonus
- Chance to win real money prizes
- No betting limits on players
- Available in most states
Cons of ProphetX
While ProphetX is a fun and unique alternative to sports betting, I have my qualms with the app:
- Can be confusing for novice bettors
- Underwhelming visual appeal
- Doesn’t support prop or parlay betting
- Limited banking options
- Limited live betting
Is ProphetX Legit?
Yes, ProphetX is a legit social sports betting exchange. It does not adhere to online sports betting regulations as it’s not a traditional gambling platform.
Rather, the app follows state sweepstakes rules to award real cash prizes.
ProphetX Mobile App Review
You can have the best idea in the world, but if you don’t have the usability factor and look that appeals to bettors, your product is going to fail. ProphetX offers a completely different betting model than what most of us are used to seeing, so there is bound to be some good and some bad.
First off, ProphetX has made its product widely available for desktop and mobile sports betting enthusiasts. Users can access the site from their favorite browser, and it is available from the App Store for iOS users and the Google Play Store for Android fans.
As far as the look of the ProphetX offering, we found it to be a tad ordinary compared to some of the flashy traditional sportsbooks that the company is up against. During testing, ProphetX’s “minimalistic” approach to design came off as underwhelming. It has the appearance of a traditional financial services site rather than one competing with super sleek and edgy sports betting sites. Though I do appreciate that it’s easy to toggle between Prophet Points and Prophet Cash, and the green Prophet Cash interface makes it clear when I’m playing with higher stakes.
Once past the exterior, ProphetX is extremely user-friendly and functional. Directions on the site are crystal clear and are aided perhaps by the previously mentioned minimalistic approach.
So, while not the spiciest interface, ProphetX is obviously doing something right. Both app stores give it an average rating of 4.8, which is definitely impressive in today’s competitive environment.
Available Sports on ProphetX
ProphetX doesn’t offer the list of sports that a traditional sportsbook does, but all of the major options that will be important to the average bettor are part of the menu:
I’ve also witnessed the addition of tennis, UFC, and soccer. With ProphetX even supporting some international leagues, the app will likely continue to build out its available sports.
Bet Types Available on ProphetX
Just like the menu of sports associated with ProphetX, the bet types available are slightly limited. There are only a few betting options for users of the site, maybe because of the complexity and newness of the wagering platform. During testing, just four bet types were available on ProphetX:
- Moneyline
- Spreads
- Totals or Over/Under
- Live Betting
In ProphetX’s case, less seems to be more. All of the most traditional bet types are available, minus props, which might be coming soon. The inclusion of live betting is pretty big for ProphetX as it is quickly becoming the most popular bet type in the North American market.
Overall, we were impressed by the ProphetX betting menu. What the company lacks in quantity of wagering options, they more than make up for in quality of overall experience. The odds, as previously discussed, can offer value, and there are zero wagering limits on bettors. The live betting focus is definitely a strength of the overall brand.

ProphetX Payment Options
So far, users of the ProphetX betting platform are able to deposit or withdraw from their account using these options:
- Online Banking
- Debit/Prepaid Card (Mastercard and Visa)
- Cash at Retail (PayNearMe)
Conspicuously absent from the banking options list are credit cards, along with any e-wallet card options. It remains to be seen whether credit cards or e-wallets will be included as banking options in the future, but right now ProphetX is way behind traditional sportsbooks in the payment option category.
As far as deposit and withdrawal, ProphetX offers up some pretty standard terms. There is a $10 minimum with any option and all deposits are free. Withdrawal processing times will vary but are usually between 3 and 5 business days.

ProphetX Prize Redemptions
You can only redeem cash prizes at ProphetX via online banking. However, the minimum redemption amount is only $1, meaning your funds won’t be locked in your account until you reach a high minimum.
ProphetX Customer Service Review
Customer service has become an integral part of an online betting provider’s offering. During testing, we found ProphetX provided above-average customer service.
The platform boasts all of the usual and necessary customer service options with an additional social media presence, which is an added perk. Our experience with the ProphetX customer service was very positive—all of our queries were addressed quickly and in a satisfactory and friendly manner.
Included on the list of customer service options are:
- Extensive FAQ Section
- Live Support via email hello@betprophet.co – 10 AM to 7 PM EST
The only hole that we found in the ProphetX customer service suite is the lack of 24/7 Chat. It’s nitpicky but something that the company could improve upon.
ProphetX Responsible Gaming
ProphetX knew what they were doing when they named their company. When you say their name out loud, it sounds eerily similar to “profit.”
The team at RotoGrinders is here to remind you that this is simply a marketing ploy and not a promise to help you make a quick buck. Gaming at ProphetX should only be for fun, and if it ever goes beyond that, we encourage you to seek support.
ProphetX does their part by offering responsible social gameplay resources on their site. You can also use the app or email hello@betprophet.co to:
- Track your transactions
- Limit your transactions
- Enroll in self-exclusion
- Close your account
And if you ever need additional help, reach out to the National Council on Problem Gambling at 1-800-GAMBLER.
Final Thoughts on ProphetX
Something new and something fresh doesn’t always lead to a better bettor experience. In the case of ProphetX, it does! Overall we were impressed with what they offer. Primarily, ProphetX offers something different. It may not be for everyone, but we found that peer-to-peer interaction is refreshing. The odds associated with such a model were much better than those of a traditional sportsbook, and not putting limits on gamblers is a perk not seen with most of their competition.
The platform is surprisingly easy to use, and directions are well laid out and easy to understand. If simplicity is what ProphetX was after, they succeeded.
ProphetX could offer a few more sports to bet on and a little better variation in bet types, as well as banking methods (deposit and withdrawal methods are a clear weakness of the platform.) But overall, ProphetX is very good at what it does.
ProphetX is worth your time and bankroll—it may just change the way you get in on the sports action.

What is ProphetX?
