Team Announcements

Final teams can be accessed via the League’s Website afl.com.au for this match and a reminder that confirmed starters are at 60 minutes before the match commences.

The Giants have lost Callan Ward and Toby Greene to injury but do welcome back premium midfielder Tim Taranto from a long injury lay-off. Sydney have lost their two best players with Isaac Heeney and Josh Kennedy out for an extended period of time. Callum Sinclair returns to Ruck for the Swans. Back-up ruckman for the Kangaroos Tom Campbell has been dropped leaving Todd Goldstein to solo Ruck.

Fantasy Contests Available

DraftKings have posted their main GPP contest with a $35,000 USD pool for a $12 USD entry. The contest is a 102 max contest. DraftKings are now starting to post contests and salaries at earlier times which is fantastic to study for lineups. .

Lineup Building tip: Tough 3 game slate this one with a lack of value options available throughout the day. With most teams conceding fewer fantasy points overall but there are some spots we can target. Richmond gave up the most fantasy points for Ruckman and the Lions do allow a higher than league average in Forward scoring. However today’s ownership is going to be widespread.

Players of Interest

Todd Goldstein – R – $8,500
Goldstein is in the conversation to be in the All-Australian team and also to be regarded as the best fantasy Ruckman in 2020. 103 fantasy point average from his last 5 games and now gets the dream matchup against the 2nd string Tigers Ruckman in Ivan Soldo. Goldstein is now solo rucking in this match and has a 30+ fantasy projection than the next best which is Jarrad Witts ($6,700). Scary fade here.

James Rowbottom – M – $4,500
Rowbottom will anchor many many teams on Saturday as he amongst other young Swan midfielders look to fill the void with the injuries to Josh Kennedy and Isaac Heeney. Rowbottom’s fantasy scores have been very solid averaging 63 in his past 4 games. Rowbottom attended 45% of the CBA’s against the Tigers and this should increase against the Suns. If you do not want to eat the chalk then pivoting to George Hewett at $4,200 is also a value play.

Jack Graham – M – $5,500
Graham was considered by many last Sunday and didn’t let owners down with a 76 fantasy point performance against the Swans. Graham attended 45% of CBA’s and boosted his score with 6 tackles. While Richmond stacks are not that popular, Graham does appeal at his price point.

Izak Rankine – F – $3,700
The AFL world marvelled at the highly touted rookie and he did not disappoint! Such classy goals and slick moves meant his first up fantasy score was 65. Does it continue on his 2nd game? Well at $3,700 I don’t see many other options in the price range. Swans are on the rack but their defence is very solid. Chalky but other options are lacking on this 3 game slate.
