Saturday, February 28th (Early)

This is one of the best Saturdays of the year. The major conference teams are winding down their seasons and we have a few high caliber matchups coming for you today from not only the major conferences but also the A-10, MVC, and other mid-majors. This is really going to be a great Saturday for college hoops fans and I hope you all enjoy it. DraftKings has a couple of MicroMillions events going on over there for the noon and the 4 PM, slate and FanDuel has announced that the Survive the Madness is back and you can begin qualifying over there as well. Let’s get right to it.

North Carolina State

Beejay Anya ($4,900) – If you need a value forward, Anya is certainly in play today. He has block upside for almost min salary here and has hit 20 fantasy points in three straight games because of the blocks. He played extremely well against UNC and I would expect him to be a staple in this game against a much worse team in Boston College, one who has a terrible interior defense.

Boston College

Olivier Hanlan ($9,300) – With Boston College, their entire team is based off of getting Olivier Hanlan looks at the hoop. His price has not risen despite three 30- point games in the last four. At home against NC State is certainly not a terrible matchup here and I really like his potential to continue his scoring streak. You are getting one of the highest usage guys with a great fouls drawn rate when you use him, and he is very, very safe with high upside.

Aaron Brown ($6,400) – Brown is not a bad play either, as he still is under $6,500 salary but is putting up 20 fantasy points each game and has a high usage rate along with Hanlan. While Hanlan has the upside, Brown has the reduced salary, and despite being a terrible team, Boston College has two solid fantasy plays here in these guys.

Louisville at Florida State

Louisville

Terry Rozier ($8,100) – I am still waiting for Rozier to regain the form that he had earlier in the season, but something inside of me wonders if it will even happen without the spacing that Jones provided. Other teams had to really respect Jones, and now they can somewhat lay off Snider and not feel bad about it. Anyway, I think Rozier’s usage rate and his ability to go over 30 fantasy points should not be ignored here and that his price is at the lowest we will see it on FanDuel.

Quentin Snider ($5,000) – I think you could use Blackshear as well profitably here, but I will profile Snider, since in the two games where he has received 35+ minutes he has averaged 21 fantasy points. He seems to be fairly consistent, and if you need a $5,000 guy, Snider will get you the minutes, at least close to value with some upside and plays a poor team in Florida State. Harrell is way too expensive, especially against the trees that Florida State is bringing out.

Florida State

None – I feel like a lot of people are going to chase Rathan-Mayes points here, but I do not want to be a part of it. Before his five-minute explosion, he had about 12 fantasy points and looked like he was headed for a complete dud. He is a great player and a very streaky player, but I am thinking that his mean of scores if we ran this game 1000 times is going to be in the 20-25 range and not the 32 range we need for value. I like Rathan-Mayes, but he had not crossed 30 fantasy points in a month, and even at home here has a poor matchup against Louisville. Brandon and Bookert are inconsistent as well now and the rest of the team does not get consistent minutes.
