Darddog's Attack Plan for College Football DFS: Week 2
A top-ranked college football DFS player, Micah Bedard (darddog) is here to walk you through the upcoming DraftKings slate. Micah will break down his favorite DFS picks at each position and will also lay out his strategy for how he is attacking the slate overall.
Week 1 was a great week for the top plays. I will tell you this however: CFB DFS is tough.
I had 0% Chandler Morris and Bru McCoy last week, and still managed to turn just a slight profit. I nailed Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado side; I just didn’t have the right combination of passing stacks to be relevant in any large-field GPPs. Mad props to the winner of the DK main GPP who had a 4-man Colorado stack.
Week 2 is one of my favorite weeks of the CFB season. While we didn’t have any data to focus on Week 1, we still only have one week of game logs to go off of. So don’t be afraid to play guys this week that didn’t do well in Week 1. There is definitely a ton of leverage to be had.
Let’s get into this week’s top plays on the DK main slate.
College Football DFS: Top DraftKings Picks for Week 2
Quarterback
Core Plays
Jeff Sims
$7,200
You would think after Sims’ performance last week that nobody would want to play him this week. However, everybody saw that the Colorado defense gave up a ton of points and yards to TCU, and their offense played at a lightning-fast pace. This should put Sims in a great spot as a dual-threat QB in a good game environment with a close spread. In cash, I would probably just play him and move on. In large-field GPPs, you don’t have to pair him with a WR, but Alex Bullock would probably be my favorite.
