Darddog's Attack Plan for College Football DFS: Week 7

Article Image

A top-ranked college football DFS player, Micah Bedard (darddog) is here to walk you through the upcoming DraftKings slate. Micah will break down his favorite DFS picks at each position and will also lay out his strategy for how he is attacking the slate overall.

If you nailed Jayden Daniels, Luther Burden III and Malik Nabers last week like me, Congrats! There’s only one problem: so did everybody else.

Pricing on the main slate last week on DraftKings was so bad that you had 5 players come in with over 40% ownership. That just can’t happen, and so much other chalk hit at RB that in order to take anything down, your lineup had to have a combined 250% ownership. I still did OK, just frustrating when guys are priced so bad that everybody has the same lineup.

Luckily, DK has answered our prayers and the pricing for Week 7 is the tightest it’s been all season. Last week, the obvious game to stack was LSU/Missouri, and you could do that in multiple ways. Oregon/Washington fits that bill this week, but it might be contrarian to stack it.

Let’s get into the Week 7 DK main slate and my top plays.

We have not yet seen the slate-breaking ability of Bo Nix this season, but this is a game the Ducks desperately need the guy who ran for 14 TDs a season ago. He only has one so far in 2023. Washington is not an elite defense to be scared of, and their offense has a lot of firepower with Michael Penix Jr. and his WR corps. The Ducks will have to score a ton of points to keep up with the Huskies. Nix has been great through the air, throwing for 15 TDs and only throwing one interception. Outside of Troy Franklin, he does spread the ball out a good bit, so you can stack him with some low-owned pieces like Tez Johnson or Gary Bryant Jr. You can also play Nix by himself and hope he shows that rushing upside. The best part about playing Nix this week is that he should come in sub-10% owned due to pricing. Let’s hope we see the 2022 version of Bo this week.
