Darddog's Attack Plan for College Football DFS: Week 8
A top-ranked college football DFS player, Micah Bedard (darddog) is here to walk you through the upcoming DraftKings slate. Micah will break down his favorite DFS picks at each position and will also lay out his strategy for how he is attacking the slate overall.
If you didn’t have any Ollie Gordon last week, Week 7 was probably not very enjoyable for you. Gordon was one of the highest-owned players of the slate, and put up 52.4 DK points. That was 15 points higher than any other player on the slate.
DK got a little funky on their Week 8 main slate, including UAB/Memphis and Ohio/Western Michigan. On the surface, most would ask why those games would be included on the slate. However, UAB and Western Michigan have two of the worst defenses in the country, so we should be trying to target players against them as much as we can.
Let’s get into my top plays and attack plan for DK’s Week 8 main slate.
College Football DFS: Top DraftKings Picks for Week 8
Quarterback
Core Plays
Dillon Gabriel
$9,300
Gabriel is one of the Heisman frontrunners at the midway point of the season, especially when guys like Caleb Williams and Bo Nix took a step backwards with losses last week. He’s been one of the most efficient QBs in the country, and his defense is giving him plenty of chances to go out there and rack up points. Gabriel put up 35 and 44 DK points in his last two games, and this might be his best matchup yet. UCF is not surrendering that much through the air, but they have been gashed on the ground. If Gabriel can have just an OK day through the air, but hit the 100-yard rushing bonus and punch a couple in the end zone, he could easily be the highest scoring player on the slate.
Kurtis Rourke
$5,700
