DFS Poker Open, Event #2: A Recap
April 9th marked the return of the DFS Poker Open series, presented by RotoGrinders, in which over 1,500 competitors looked to grab the championship in Event #2 on Global Poker. After initial buy-ins, re-buys, and add-ons, the prize pool quickly ballooned to well over SC 40,000 (not to mention over SC 6,000 in added bonuses via top-20 finishes and player bounties).
It was a strong showing from Team RG as many familiar faces worked their way towards the final table. Among them were Brit Devine, Cal Spears, BigT44 and headChopper, who all cracked the top 100.
The action was broadcast on a live stream that included a handful of the industry’s top DFS personalities, and if you weren’t following along, let’s just say you missed out on some high-quality smack talk and shenanigans. You can find a replay of it here.
Ultimately, Aprilg1983 and GhostRhinooo squared off as the last two standing, with Aprilg1983 becoming the second DFS Open Poker champion. Congrats to both for an absolutely amazing run in this second event and also props to all of the other big winners.
