FanDuel Announces Playboy Championship Details

It’s been less than a month since StarStreet announced it’s doors were closing and for some, that signaled the end of the Playboy Championship. Those people can now breath a huge sigh of relief, because FanDuel now has the key to Hef’s place and we won’t have to wait long for the 1st inaugural FanDuel Playboy Championship! The event will take place on November 13th and it features a seven-figure prize pool, a number that hasn’t been reached in previous DFS championships at the Mansion. I’ve been fortunate enough to attend one of these events on behalf of RotoGrinders and it is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, although I’ll definitely be trying for seconds after the weekend I experienced at this year’s PFBC. Let’s get into the details of FanDuel’s second NFL Championship of 2014..

Details

The PFC will consist of 75 entries; users may qualify for a seat only by winning one of the PFC Qualifier contests. Multiple Qualifiers will be available each week at varying entry fees. FanDuel will also be awarding 25 special trip-only packages through qualifiers as well, so keep your eyes on the game lobby for those.

Each Qualifier winner will also be awarded a trip package worth $2,800. Each trip package consists of $700 airfare credit to be used in purchasing a round-trip plane ticket to Los Angeles; two nights of hotel accommodations; and entry for two to the Saturday evening reception on November 22nd and the Sunday Championship viewing party hosted at the Mansion on November 23rd.

The Sunday Championship viewing party will take place on the grounds of the Mansion in Los Angeles, CA. Top-of-the-line audio-visual equipment will broadcast the games on the slate for the final so finalists can keep track of their lineups’ performances. Catered food and beverage will be available throughout the day as finalists and guests lounge poolside or take part in a variety of games and activities.

Finalists may qualify for the PFC up to a maximum of two times. A finalist who has qualified twice for the championship shall receive the option of transferring the trip package (only) to a third party OR receiving the cash value of the trip package ($2,800). Once a finalist has claimed two seats, he is ineligible to enter any more PFC Qualifier contests.

Prizes – $1,000,000 Prize Pool

1st – $150,000
2nd – $80,000
3rd – $50,000
4th – $40,000
5th – $30,000

All 75 finalists will be paid out at least $5,000.

You can find more details on the PFC here and keep an eye on the FanDuel game lobby for the first round of qualifiers! To reiterate, this is an event you don’t want to miss, and your guest of honor will be forever indebted to you for bringing them along (unless it’s your wife/girlfriend.. take them to the FFFC instead).
