Favorite DFS Targets on DraftKings
Lucia Szabova ($9,600) vs. Tainara Lisboa ($6,600)
Fight Odds: -700 Szabova vs. +470 Lisboa
Weight Class: W135lb. (Women’s Bantameight)

While many women make it to the UFC with limited professional records, Lucia Szabova (UFC Debut; 12-0 Pro) stands out as an impressive debutant with a 12-0 professional record, including winning belts at two different weight classes in the European Okatgon organization. Her opponent, Tainara Lisboa (2-2 UFC; 7-4 Pro), has more UFC experience, but she is making just her 12th professional walk this weekend at 35 (7 years older than her opponent). Lisboa’s claim to fame when she signed to the UFC was that she fought Valentina Shevchenko in Muay Thai and kickboxing 16 years ago (2010). Lisboa was able to submit Jessica Rose-Clark (4-5 UFC) and decision Ravena Oliveira (0-4 UFC) in her first pair of UFC bouts, but she has been winless ever since. Lisboa has had multiple knee surgeries, her grappling has been a liability (subbed by Santos, gave up 2 TDs on 3 attempts as well as 5+ minutes of control vs. Croden).
I could see Szabova struggling in the early portion of this fight. She typically comes out aggressively, shows very little regard for defense, and she forces fights into the clinch. Lisboa comes from a Muay Thai background, she has developed her grappling game over a longer period of time than Szabova, and she is making her 5th walk to the octagon, a more familiar feeling than Szabova will be experiencing. Unfortunately for Lisboa, she is more likely to concede takedowns than to secure them (4:7 TD Ratio), she historically death gasses badly in rounds 2 and 3, and she seems to wilt when she is under pressure. Szabova is a bit void defensively, but she is constantly pressing the issue, looking for offense, and she seems conditioned after fighting 5 hard rounds in her last Okatagon title fight vs. a former UFC fighter in the form of Lucie Pudilova (3-8 UFC). If Szabova can avoid awkward exchanges on the mat while they are fresh, she should have more weapons, more staying power, and better cardio.
Prediction: Lucia Szabova defeats Tainara Lisboa via Rd. 2/3/DEC (or Either via SUB)
Piera Rodriguez ($9,200) vs. Talita Alencar ($7,000)
