My Week 4 Rosters on Each Daily Site

My Week 4 Rosters on Each Daily Fantasy Site

Each site offers a little something different in terms of cap space, line ups, scoring systems, and of course player salaries. These small differences can lead to some vastly different strategies on each site. My main goal over the next few weeks is to really grasp the nuances of each site.

Here are my picks for Week 4 across most fantasy sites.

FanDuel.com

Total Cap: $60,000
Total Spent: $59,900
Notes: FanDuel’s generous $60k cap gives you plenty of room for studs and that is exactly what I loaded my team with. This is a non PPR scoring system so I give more weight to receivers likely to find the end zone.

QB – $8400 – Mike Vick – $1500 cheaper than Manning but just as lethal in fantasy

RB – $8300 – Arian Foster – vs Oakland, he’s the play of the week. Multiple TDs on the way

RB – $5300 – Justin Forsett – this is a nice sleeper pick that will let me stock up on talent at WR and TE later. Leon Washington and Julius Jones were non factors in the rushing game last week and St. Louis is on slate this week.

WR – $6800 – Roddy White – He’s just getting so many looks everywhere on the field. San Fran will not stop him.

WR – $6200 – Austin Collie – The chemistry with Manning in week 3 was a thing of beauty, especially in the Red Zone.

WR – $6800 – Randy Moss – TD hawk should get a few more looks this week.

TE – $7200 – Antonio Gates – A ton to spend on a TE but he’s a monster

K – $5200 – Stephen Gostkowski – Has a leg and is a couple hundo cheaper than similar options

DEF: $5800 – Saints – vs Carolina. Jimmy Clausen will have to pass a lot in this one, enough said.

DraftZone.com

Total Cap: $60,000
Total Spent: $59,840
Notes: DraftZone does 1 pt PPR, which does have a pretty big impact on my choices when I’m trying to squeeze in sleeper WRs under the cap.

QB – $10,000 – Aaron Rodgers – Manning, Vick, and Rodgers all come in at $10k and other QBs I like this week are not much cheaper. I’ll pay the premium for Rodgers against Detroit. The Pack may make a half hearted attempt to run the ball here, but Rodgers will still blow up.

RB – $12,000 – Arian Foster – This is a tough price to pay, but he’s going to be on all my teams this week, no questions asked.

RB – $6100 – Michael Turner – TY DraftZone algorithm for this steal vs SF.

WR – $7050 – Steve Smith NY – DZ is PPR. Chicago should stuff the NY run game, leaving this one up to Manning. I like Smith for 7+ catches this week.

WR – $5830 – Larry Fitzgerald – Not my favorite, but the price is right. He’ll get a ton of targets vs San Diego.

WR – $5690 – Calvin Johnson – Again, the price is right. He’s half the price of Austin Collie! Johnson can beat any secondary and the Lions will need to throw, as usual

TE – $9000 – Antonio Gates – Paying the premium, like on FanDuel, but worth it.

K – $2320 – Phil Dawson – He’s been awful, but because of that he is almost $4k cheaper than the top option. That opens up a lot of cap room to splurge on a TE.

DEF – $1850 – Houston – A defense playing against Oakland is over $6k cheaper than the most expensive defense? Easy choice for me, I’ll take Houston D to make room for Rodgers, Foster, and Gates.

FantasySportsLive.com

Total Cap: 970 points.
Total Spent: 970 Exact!
Notes: FSL has some interesting cap situations this week.

QB – $233 – Aaron Rodgers – Rodgers is a good buy on FSL this week as the fifth most expensive QB, over $40 cheaper than Vick.

RB – $221 – Arian Foster – I cannot be priced out of Foster this week.

RB – $77 – Maurice Jones-Drew – Can’t pass on him for $77. He’ll find a way to produce.

WR – $126 – Roddy White – I love his chances to find the end zone every week

WR – $70 – Calvin Johnson – good value

WR – $51 – Marques Colston – There’s no match for Colston in the Carolina secondary. I don’t expect him to be targeted often, but he will make the most of his targets.

TE – $75 – Jermichael FinleyFSL managed to price me out of the market for Gates, who is going for $175. Finley is the clear choice here.

K – $50 – Nate Kaeding – Great kicker on the cheap

DEF – $67 – Saints – My pick for top D of the week is $83 cheaper than the top option.

DraftStreet.com

Cap allowed: $100,000
Cap Spent: $99,534
Notes: DraftStreet has a deeper line up than its competitors and a salary cap that really makes you reach. .5 PPR

QB – $16,500 – Mike Vick – Much cheaper than Rodgers and Manning on DraftStreet.

QB – $9,543 – Mark Sanchez – He’s been lights out the last two games, playing a weak defense in week 4, and costs under $10k.

RB – $18,568 – Arian Foster – Nearly 20% of my budget on one player? No problem vs Oakland.

RB – $13838 – Frank Gore – He’s on the field for literally every play. Even when the offense blows he still manages to get his.

WR – $11,345 – Austin Collie – Defenses can’t key on him with Wayne and Clark also on the field. He’s my #1 WR while Garcon is out.

WR – $5562 – Lance Moore – This is all about the price. As long as Brees looks his way 7 or 8 times this pick will pay off nicely.

TE – $11,859 – Antonio Gates – Can’t pass him up at this price, especially with the rest of the respectable TE field only a few thousand cheaper.

FLEX – $6425 – Louis Murphy – I had Tolbert for a similar price until it was announced Mathews was starting. So Tolbert is out, but I love Lance Murphy’s upside this week against Houston, especially at this salary.

FLEX – $2759 – BenJarvus Green-Ellis – This guy is a must-roster on DraftStreet this week. He will grotesquely outproduce this salary while allowing you to stock up at other positions.

DEF – $3590 – Bengals – Wanted the Saints, but the Bengals were $1000 cheaper. Had to switch to the Bengals to make room for Gates, a great trade off imo.
