This weekend, we head to Homestead-Miami Speedway for the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race. The race is Sunday at 3pm ET on NBC. The Championship race returns to Homestead, but Kyle Larson has it all but locked up. Larson leads Bell by 67 points and Hamlin by 70 points. Homestead-Miami Speedway is a 1.5-mile track, but it’s a unique track. It’s high-tire wear and progressive banking makes it a tough track to comp. I think the best comp is Darlington, but I will also use some data from Las Vegas, Chicagoland, and Texas. This is the same tire code they’ve run at multiple 1.5-mile tracks this season, but they’ve not run it at Homestead before. I’ll be using practice data, recent Homestead data, high-tire wear track data, intermediate track data, and a few other things when building lineups this weekend. As with the Trucks and NOAPS, I’m going to weigh practice a little more this weekend.

The stages are 80, 85, and 102, which is a total of 267 laps. We have 120.15 potential fastest lap points and 66.75 laps led points on DraftKings. We have 26.7 laps led points and 26.7 laps completed points available on FanDuel.
