This weekend, we head to Darlington Raceway for the Buckle Up South Carolina 200. The race is Friday night at 7:30 PM ET on FS1. This will be the sixth Truck race at Darlington since the series returned to racing here in 2020. The race winner has started inside the top 5 in four of the five races here since returning. There have been at least seven cautions for 35 laps in each of those five races. Chevrolet has won three of the last four races here. Darlington is a unique 1.366-mile oval that has two different-sized corners. It’s an older racing surface, so it’s a high-tire-wear track. It comps best to Homestead, but for more data, you can use steep tracks and high-wear tracks. I will be using recent Darlington data, Darlington/Homestead data, practice, 1.5-mile data, 2024 speed, and a few other things when building lineups this weekend.

NASCAR Truck Series DFS Picks: Buckle Up South Carolina 200

The stages are 45, 45, and 57, which is a total of 147 laps. With 147 laps, we’re looking at 66.15 potential fastest-lap points and 36.75 laps-led points. After the cautions, we’re looking at 85 to 90 dominator points. Fastest laps can get spread out on high-tire-wear tracks, and this has led to one to two dominators in each of the five races here since 2020. Most of my builds will be one to two dominators. The interesting thing is Kyle Busch being $15,000. Unless he scores over 50% of the potential dominator points, I have a hard time seeing him be optimal.
