Happy Friday!
I’m coming off my best slate of the season. Darius Acuff Jr. and Jeremiah Fears both went nuclear. I was genuinely surprised by Acuff’s ownership last night. With his usage rate, shot volume, and matchup, he was the first player that I clicked on. When lineups locked and he was only 35% owned on a 3-game slate, I thought I might have missed something. Luckily, 65% of the field missed something. Acuff and Fears combined for 120 fantasy points. Damian Lillard held me back from a really nice night, but I’ll always take the win.
It’s going to be an incredibly busy day. My son’s school costume parade is at 8:30, and I foolishly volunteered to help with his Halloween party. It’s not that I don’t want to help out, but Fridays are my busiest day of the week when it comes to content during the NBA/NFL overlap. I should have signed up for the Valentine’s Day or Easter party instead. I’ll be at his school from 11-1. In the meantime, I have the NBA Core Plays, the NFL Key Personnel, and two Expert Surveys. I’m also on GrindersLive tonight with Dean and Beer.
With so much going on, I’m going to keep the fluff to a minimum today and focus my attention on the Core Plays table.
Slate Overview
We have 10 games on the schedule on Friday night. Only the first 8 games are included on the main slates for FanDuel and DraftKings. We have a lot of injuries to sift through tonight, but there are only a handful of key players still listed as questionable. No teams are playing on the second half of a back-to-back, which should help with the flow of injury news throughout the day.
