Author Disclaimer: Please remember, these picks are not necessarily safe for your 50/50-H2H games. They are intended to separate yourself from the herd in an attempt to be contrarian and different. Point Guard

Rajon Rondo – The Celtics/Suns matchup tonight in Boston has a huge Vegas total and should be an up-and-down affair with not a ton of defense being played. Rondo thrives in this type of game, so I expect the brilliant point guard to continue dishing out tons of assists on his way to a big game.

Mario Chalmers – With Dwayne Wade likely out this evening, Chalmers should resume his role in the starting lineup. He’s been productive while there and his price still has not come up enough for his level of production with the increased minutes and role in the offense.

Shooting Guard

Joe Johnson – Joe Johnson has quietly been putting together a very nice season for the Nets as one of their key offensive threats. He’s playing big minutes, taking lots of shots, and even filling up the box score in other areas. He should do well tonight vs. a short-handed Heat squad.

Tyreke Evans – Evans continues to thrive sharing the creator role for the Pelicans with Jrue Holiday. He’s surrounded by good shooters and can get to the rim almost at will. Expect near double-digit assists in this matchup vs. Portland as well as a good number of points and boards.

Small Forward

LeBron James – LeBron missed shootaround this morning with an illness, but is expected to play tonight. He dominated the Nuggets last time out and should do so again at home tonight. Cleveland has been scoring points in bunches and Denver is a sieve on defense. LeBron should thrive in this matchup assuming he’s in the lineup.
