Phoenix

This is the best game of the night both for pure entertainment value and for DFS value, and it couldn’t set up any better being that it’s the last game. While the matchup against Golden State could sound scary since they are the #1 ranked team in defensive efficiency, they are the only team that averages over 100 possessions per game — and that pace counters the defensive efficiency for fantasy purposes.

Elite Plays

Isaiah Thomas — If you’re willing to forgive his dud of a game against the Bulls last night, Thomas has been incredible recently. Before that game, he had five straight games of 18 actual points or more which led to him exceeding value sometimes to the point of 8x his salary. The style of this game fits him perfectly, as is evident by his 37 fantasy points in 26 minutes against the Warriors in Phoenix earlier this year.

Goran Dragic — Another guy that killed the Warriors last time out, Dragic went 8-12 from the field and 3-3 from downtown en route to 33 fantasy points in only 29 minutes. I expect the guard play in this game to be stellar with a lot of fast break opportunities and early offense, so that’s where most of my exposure will be.

Golden State

The Warriors lost a disappointing game in Utah last night, their second in a row. Six of the Warriors’ eight losses have come back-to-back, but they haven’t lost more than two in a row all season. They will look to get back on track against the only team that plays in higher-scoring games than they do, and this one is going to be full of points.

Elite Plays

Stephen Curry — Curry is my favorite of the elite options tonight by quite a bit. He shot the ball incredibly well last night sinking 5 of 11 three-point attempts in 34 minutes. It’s easy to not give Curry the consideration he deserves since his totals are much lower than they should be due to all of the blowouts he’s played in this year, but in competitive games there are few (if any) better than him.

Klay Thompson — There’s plenty of value out there to where you don’t have to choose one or the other between the Splash Brothers. They are very positive correlated plays also, as they’ve combined for more than 100 fantasy points multiple times even in the last week or so.

Times, numerous books including Dan Barbarisi’s “Dueling with Kings”, and numerous documentaries including Jason Baumgardner’s “Perfect Lineup”.

On the business side he worked with several startup operators in direct competition with FanDuel and DraftKings. Jeff brought a player’s perspective to the product side of things and was innovative with new features that you see the bigger sites now implementing today.

Content has always been a passion for him, so the opportunity to write for RotoGrinders early in his career was something to jump at. Jeff hosted popular shows for MLB, NBA, and NFL content and often focused on teaching a contrarian approach long before it was cool to do so.

Jeff’s run as a player has been capped off by what many refer to as the best year in DFS tournament history. A baseball live final win (DK), a football Million dollar score, and 2 2nd place finishes in FD live finals.
