NBA Starting 5 (GPP): Monday, March 12th
The Starting 5 Series will provide Grinders a quick look at the day’s top positional plays, as analyzed by one of our daily fantasy sports experts.
Monday, March 12th
After a couple months of big Monday slates, we finally have a smaller four-game slate, so I’m going to talk about some small-slate strategy and then get into the selections.
On smaller slates, you have to be a lot more exact to win a GPP, as there are still 100,000+ entries selecting from a pool of 95 players instead of 100,000+ entries selecting from say 240 players on a 10-game slate. So, finding low-owned pivots that do well has a much more powerful effect on the smaller slates. In this article I’m going to focus on some PIVOTS from the chalk.
All positions and pricies are geared towards DraftKings.
Point Guard: De’Aaron Fox – $5,400 – Sacramento Kings
Picking Fox in a pace-up spot would normally be something I would expect to be popular, but with Dwyane Wade already ruled out, Fox is sandwiched in between two chalky options in Goran Dragic and Tyler Johnson.
