NBA Starting 5 (GPP): Monday, March 26th

The Starting 5 Series will provide Grinders a quick look at the day’s top positional plays, as analyzed by one of our daily fantasy sports experts.

Monday, March 26th

With the small five-game slate today, I’m focusing on difference makers who could come in lower owned than expected, players who could very make or break your GPP teams tonight.

Note: This is being written about six hours earlier than normal, so check back later for an update in the article and/or comments section.

Can’t trust Payton and those minutes… one good game isn’t going to do it for me. I need to see some consistency as I recover from Ricky Rubio (15 DK points) “insert expletive” I agree with you on Jokic/Embiid but Embiid is a bit much at $9,400. Can’t trust Josh Jackson to reach 40 DK points… that money is better spent elsewhere for a Barton or something. If Batum is back, Howard doesn’t have the same upside. It’s JOKIC time!!!

Any thoughts or reaction on pivoting down from JaMychal Green to Jarell Martin. I seem to love Martin more. I’m one of those game log readers so i love what i have been seeing from him. Any advice will be appreciated

I think you have to take a shot at dudes like Payton for GPP’s. It’s going to be hard to be different tonight!

  • YAPPYKAPPY

Thanks for the info seige. I also agree with the embiid, jokic matchup. Maybe it’s just me but I always feel like you should have someone in the late game. Jay brown definitely fits that tonight. I’m also looking at Monroe here in the revenge narrative. What are your thoughts on Monroe and Brown for 2 late night fillers as opposed to going Rozier?

I love the late night hammer to fight off a boat race. I hate the late night shrinkage.

Agreed… From a GPP perspective Elf makes alot of sense. Risk/Reward factor is in their. But thats how you cash in GPP’s. Low owned and diversity equals money!!! I’ll probably go with a 30% exposure for Elf and see what happens.

Agree as well. Its funny watching those guys that stack the early games. It looks great to be in first but they never quite finish their. Most of the time they hardly win much.

That was my mistake when I first started out but things change when the cash starts to leave your wallet. Now, I’ll have a play or two early and just pull the late hammer. Staring at $100,000 on DK is great for 30 seconds than you’re in last place LOL!!!

lol…funny you say that. i was in 1st place lasnight in a 1k gpp on yahoo lastnight with only the jazz/gsw game left to play and guess what……DIDN’T EVEN CASH!!!…Had a 9 pt cushion between 1st and 2nd…i didn’t even realize i had nobody playing in the last game!!…Was brutal to watch my lu keep moving in the WRONG direction…oh well…live and learn right..
