In this space, we’ll look at the PrizePicks board for the Vikings vs. Rams game and try to make some predictions based on projections, trends, and the market.

PrizePicks, one of the best DFS sites for NFL fantasy pick’em, lays out player projections for us, which we stack to create entries that pay real money. They prompt us with a statistical projection for a player, and we get to pick whether or not the player will get More or Less than the number offered. There are hundreds of players from whom to choose, and we only have to make at least two picks to create an entry. While the Rams have been depleted with injuries all season, they get some key pieces back that may provide valuable for fantasy pick’em purposes. On the other side, the Minnesota Vikings have been one of the most surprisingly effective teams in the league this season and should get big games from their stars, Aaron Jones and Justin Jefferson.

Aaron Jones MORE/LESS 73.5 Rushing Yards

The Rams defense has struggled all season long, giving up a plethora of yards on the ground and in the air. Jones has had at least 90 yards on the ground in 3 of his past 4 games, and I think he’s going to eclipse 100 yards against the Rams. He only projects for 72.4 rushing yards in the RotoGrinders projections, but I expect a ceiling game in what should be a favorable game script.

Kyren Williams MORE/LESS 15.5 Receiving Yards

The Rams are underdogs at home, but Williams is always heavily involved, regardless of the game script. I think Matthew Stafford will have to be passing the ball a lot to keep the Rams close, and the Vikings will likely be focusing their defense primarily on Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua (if he suits up). Williams projects for 17.7 receiving yards in the RotoGrinders projections and could easily surpass this number with a single catch.

Sam Darnold MORE/LESS 31 Pass Attempts

Although I expect the Vikings to be leading in this game, this number is still too low for Darnold. He projects for 34.83 pass attempts in the RotoGrinders projections, giving this pick one of the largest edges on the entire slate according to our fantasy pick’em tool. This should be a faster-paced game than most of the games Minnesota has played lately, which should give Darnold a strong chance to exceed 31 attempts.
