Weather Report and Forecast for NFL Week 11

Week 11 in the NFL is bringing us some gnarly weather in a few spots, as both wind and precipitation could be an issue.
This NFL weather report will highlight any extreme temperatures, precipitation, and most importantly, high winds that we could see across the NFL landscape this week. If a game isn’t specifically listed in this week’s report, that means the weather is quiet enough for it not to be an issue in that particular game.
NFL Week 11 Weather Report and Forecast
As always, it’s best to stay up to date with the very latest forecasts, so follow me on Twitter/X @KevinRothWx and keep an eye on my main weather page. A reminder that while temperature and rain/snow can impact a game, the greatest impact by far comes from high wind, so I’ll be looking to highlight those spots when possible.
Thursday Night Football, November 13th
New York Jets @ New England Patriots – It’s cold but otherwise uneventful. Temperatures are in the 30s during the game, with no real wind or precip. We do tend to see a slight negative correlation between cold air and scoring, so it is a bit of a bump down to offenses, but the impact should be minimal.
Sunday Morning International Game, November 16th
Washington Commanders @ Miami Dolphins – This game is in Madrid at Santiago Bernabéu stadium, where they have a retractable roof in case of any issues, so we’re all good here.
Sunday Main Slate, November 16th
Green Bay Packers @ New York Giants – Winds around 10-15 mph sustained with stronger gusts. There’s also a slim chance for a rain shower.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Pittsburgh Steelers – A bit breezy here with sustained winds around 15 mph or higher and wind gusts around 30 mph. That’s enough to matter on some longer throws and kicks.
Tampa Bay Bucs @ Buffalo Bills – Currently leading the pack for “game most impacted by weather,” as we’ve got it all in Orchard Park this Sunday. We’ll start with the wind, which should be around 15-20 mph sustained and gusting to around (or even over) 30 mph. There’s also some precipitation problems, likely some sort of rain/snow mix, though the finer details of that will be tough to iron out until pregame. It’s also cold, of course, with temperatures around 40 degrees. There isn’t any specific weather factor here that will cripple the offense, but the combination of some wind, some snow, and maybe some rain makes for a fairly ugly day, and I consider it a bump down to offenses (especially passing and kicking).
Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns – Another windy one, with winds coming right off the lake and bringing 20 mph sustained winds and gusts around 30 mph through the game. That’s a bump down to passing and kicking.
Sunday Night Football, November 16th
Detroit Lions @ Philadelphia Eagles – A touch cool, with temps in the 40s, but winds hold around 10 mph, and there’s no precip. Minimal impacts at worst, likely none at all.
Monday Night Football, November 17th
Dallas Cowboys @ Las Vegas Raiders – Indoors…no issues!
How Will the Weather in Week 11 Affect Betting & Fantasy Football Picks?
The two main games I’m keeping an eye on are the Bills game and the Browns game. The Bills game has a likely combo of wind and precip that can lower the offensive efficiency, while the Browns game has winds coming right off the lake, which could play a role in passing and special teams. Both games should see a bump down to offenses. Winds in the Steelers game are a bit more borderline but could impact a few key plays as well.
In case things change, I’ll be posting radar GIFs to Twitter/X as we get closer to kickoff.
