NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, December 28

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

TastefulTides: Connor McDavid – He is going to be mega chalk, but I can’t see a reason to fade. Not only does he have the top median raw point projection, but I also think that overall raw points are going to matter quite a bit on this slate. Even if he doesn’t have a ceiling game and “only” puts up 15-20 fantasy points, that could very well be good enough to be optimal. The Oilers currently have a 4.38 implied team total, which is half a goal higher than the Hurricanes. I will look to find other ways to get different, but I won’t be fading McDavid in any format.

boggslite: Connor McDavid – Well rested and facing the league’s worst team playing on consecutive nights, McDavid should be worth every penny of his steep price tag tonight. San Jose lacks a shutdown line making McDavid a threat at even strength and on the man advantage against a Sharks penalty kill that ranks 28th this season.

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
