PGA DFS Core Plays: Butterfield Bermuda Championship
Top-ranked grinder, Notorious, breaks down his favorite daily fantasy golf plays at various salary ranges for the coming week’s golf tournament. Who should you be building around? Find out below.
Butterfield Bermuda Championship
First off, a huge congratulations is in order for Hideki Matsuyama. He picked up his second PGA Tour win of the year and did it in his home country of Japan. I play Cameron Tringale as much as anyone, but you never got the feeling that he was going to catch Matsuyama on Sunday. Perhaps it’s because Tringale is the PGA Tour’s all-time money leader for those that don’t have a win in their career. Overall, the course was tremendous and there is nothing quite like watching live primetime golf. My only complaints about the Asian swing are that the timing differences throw off my weekly routine and that we don’t have Shot Tracker for the events. With that said, the pros certainly outweigh the cons.
This week we head to Bermuda for the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. While we do get the Friday cut sweat back in our lives, this is another event without Shot Tracker. There is a decent chance we get the “shot two from the fairway/rough” experience, which would be better than nothing (although I’ve found that the volunteers doing the fake Shot Tracker aren’t too concerned about accuracy).
If you haven’t checked out the Downloadable and Customizable PGA DFS Model, give it a try this week. You can change any of the weights in the model to come up with your personalized set of golfer ratings. We owe a huge shoutout to premium member Harry Brandt aka Birdiemonster, who took home $100,000 on FanDuel last week. He deserves 100% of the credit, but he was kind enough to reach out and say that he uses the customizable model each week.
