PGA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for the VidantaWorld Mexico Open

Who is your favorite golfer to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Blades Brown
stlcardinals84: Tom Kim
Jbails26: Ben Griffin
hondizzle: Blades Brown

Who is your favorite golfer (when considering price, key stats, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Blades Brown – Jackson Koivun and Ben James are getting all of the headlines right now as the best up-and-comers on TOUR, but Brown is much younger than both of them. He’s finished T22 or better in 9 of his last 11 starts, including 4 top-10 finishes during that stretch. He’s played a lot during the fall and most recently finished 2nd at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship a few weeks ago. While he’s not a pure bomber, he still gains strokes off the tee thanks to his accuracy. He’s top 10 in this field in Strokes Gained: Approach, Weighted Strokes Gained: Approach, and Expected Hole Performance. He’s also 1st in the field in Bogey Avoidance, which should come in handy with water hazards on 12 of the 18 holes here. He played this event last year with much worse incoming form and finished T34.

stlcardinals84: Doug Ghim – It has been a relatively quiet surge, but Ghim has now logged top-20 finishes in each of his last 5 PGA TOUR starts. The confidence is growing with each passing week, and potential improvement with the putter is really the only remaining step for him to reach the next level of upside. I love his tee-to-green fit for this course in Mexico, and he finished 8th at this event a couple years ago. He has by far the best odds of any golfer priced below the top 5, and he is my favorite high-end option for tournament builds.

Jbails26: Blades Brown – This is one of the easiest courses on TOUR that sets up as a birdie fest, which is something Brown is familiar with when playing on the Korn Ferry Tour. He’s already one of the better iron players in the field, ranking 5th in Data Golf’s True Strokes Gained: Approach over his last 50 rounds. At Brown’s price point, he fits into any sort of build you’re looking to construct.

hondizzle: Blades Brown – Brown is one of my favorite plays on the board, especially when factoring in price and roster construction. This is one of the easier courses on TOUR, and I like targeting a young, aggressive player who can take advantage of the birdie opportunities. He’s already shown he can compete against professional fields, and his upside makes him particularly appealing at this salary. He offers the kind of scoring potential that can help separate a lineup without having to spend up for another top-tier name.
