Wild Card Round
Welcome to the NFL Postseason, Grinders! After the crazy, chaotic mess that was Week 17, we can at least look forward to some stability with the playoffs. We know who the touches and targets are going to funnel to, for the most part, and we only have four games to dissect on a weekly basis.
I threw around a few ideas as to how to approach this article for postseason play. I originally thought about a game-by-game breakdown, but you can get that content in other places on the site, and I don’t want to re-invent the wheel. I then thought about using a similar approach to that which I used in the first 16 weeks in this space, but that wouldn’t be much for content on a four game slate. Instead, I have settled on an “over/under” approach that is specific to GPP play. I will analyze a handful of players that I will likely be “overweight” on compared to our projected ownership, and I will analyze a handful of players that I will likely be “underweight” on compared to our projected ownership. Of course, I will add some analysis along the way. I decided to take this approach because game theory becomes more important the smaller the slate gets, and I feel like this will add the most value to your playoff DFS experience when it comes to GPP play.
Let’s break it down!
