The Masters: DraftKings Final Round Showdown Analysis
It’s Sunday at the Masters. They say the Masters doesn’t start until the back nine on Sunday.
Of course, that’s not really true, but there is something very special about that final stretch.
For DFS purposes, we care about the front and back nine. We are searching for the best Showdown plays for the final round. Hopefully, the weather cooperates and it truly is a Sunday Showdown, not a Sunday (and Monday) Showdown. Speaking of weather, don’t forget that tee times have been moved up on Sunday morning, so make sure you get your lineups in early.
When looking for showdown plays we want EAGLES and we want FINISHING POSITION bonuses. Let’s take a look at some angles to see who might provide those things for us.
Eagle Rate
Eagles are not a stat you can rely on considering the leader in eagle rate last year (JT) circled in eagle every 87th hole played. However, we can look at long-term eagle stats and combine them with course-level eagle stats to see what golfers might have a higher probability of racking one up. It helps that Augusta National yields more than its fair share when it comes to eagles.
