Yahoo NFL DFS Tournament Targets: Week 8

It’s no secret, I play a lot of DFS on Yahoo and find it to be overlooked in both DFS and content. This article is my attempt to outline some of what I think will be chalk and my favorite tournament targets to consider for each NFL main slate. The article will start off pretty basic and light on analysis, as we don’t have much data to go off of, but hopefully will evolve as the season does. Feel free to comment, message me, and of course jump into contests with me on Yahoo.

On to the plays I’m considering as of today for NFL week 8.

QB: Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals, $27
After a 34 fantasy-point performance last week, Yahoo Burrow’s price remains at a value price for a QB that has thrown for 300 yards in five of his last six games, with the Ravens being the one he had a bad game against, which is to be expected. He’s also rushed for a TD in each of his last two games and heads into this week as a 5-point underdog to the Titans in a game with a 52-point total. The Bengals should be without Joe Mixon again this week and last week they appeared to game-plan to Giovanni Bernard’s strength in the passing game as opposed to the run game. Burrow leads the league in passing attempts and is ranked 3rd in passing yards so far this season but hasn’t found the endzone as often as he should have. I expect that will continue to improve as he builds chemistry with his receivers and am encouraged by his performance last week. Tennessee hasn’t generated much pressure, so Burrow should have a clean pocket to work with slinging it from behind in a game that projects to play at a fast pace.
