- Added more error handling to Manage Entries to improve the user experience. In the event that you upload a .csv file to Manage Entries that contains reserved entries, you will now be prompted to fill in your reserved entries before being allowed to rebuild your lineups. The blank lineups resulting from reserved entries need to be populated with players before Manage Entries is able to rebuild all lineups and determine which player slots are locked.

December 20th, 2019

- Added a new “auto-groups” option for NFL. This is a premium-only feature located on the “Player Groups” tab. You can now create conditional groups with the opposing quarterback as the conditional player with the click of a button in LineupHQ. This should make game stacking easier.

December 18th, 2019

Added a CPT slot for DraftKings PGA for the upcoming President’s Cup contests.

December 6th, 2019

November 6th, 2019

- Fixed an issue with the NBA “latest-player-in-the-UTIL-spot” logic. Yahoo will now work in all cases and DraftKings is much-improved. There are still multi-positional eligibility cases with DraftKings that won’t always produce the most flexible rosters possible. This feature tries slot A to B and B to A swaps, and sometimes three or four player round-robin swaps are possible (and more ideal). Those edits can still be made by the user manually, of course.

- Switched FanDuel NHL single-game contests to use a CPT roster position instead of MVP.

November 1st, 2019

- Added the ability to export lineups to a .csv file that can then be uploaded directly to Yahoo. You can use the .csv file to edit existing entries on Yahoo or upload your LineupHQ lineups to contests in the Yahoo lobby.

- Granted CFB Marketplace Package subscribers access to creating “Groups” from the player pool.

- Fixed a player pool display issue.

October 28th, 2019

October 24th, 2019

- Added FanDuel EPL and UCL support, including single-game EPL slates.

October 10th, 2019

- Added a “Delete Old Builds” button to the My Lineups page. Clicking this button allows you to quickly delete a batch of old builds all at once. Saved lineups are unaffected.

- Added a tooltip whenever the blue “Build Lineups” button is disabled, with information about why it’s disabled. Typically, adding more players to the player pool resolves this issue.

- Prevented NFL quick stacks settings from being included in builds of the single lineup builder in the LineupHQ sidebar.

October 9th, 2019

- Added support for DraftKings Showdown Captain Mode in Manage Entries. You can now edit upcoming Showdown contest entries on the Manage Entries page.

- Added support for FanDuel single-game NBA preseason contests.

- Fixed the position selector in the player pool for players with multi-positional eligibility. You can choose to lock a player at a specific position, such as PG only, for a player with multi-positional eligibility, or allow a player to be used in either eligible roster slot.

October 8th, 2019

- In the Player Groups section, changed the wording of the conditional groups to make it less confusing. If the conditional player is in a lineup, the group rules must be followed. This does not prevent the members in the group from being in other lineups, however.

- Added the ability for NFL Showdown/single-game users to create conditional team groups and max position player groups. Three max position groups will be created for each team, one each for all of a team’s running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends that are in your current player pool. Each team’s MVP/CPT quarterback will be the conditional player in the conditional team groups, with all of the quarterback’s running back, wide receiver, and tight end teammates being added to the group automatically when the team groups are created.

September 12th, 2019

- Removed the RGVal column for non-classic slates, as the metric doesn’t correlate well with the player salaries being so different for single-game and Showdown contests.

- Added the min/max total lineup ownership settings to Yahoo.

- Added the weather ratings and descriptions to the NFL player pool table.

September 10th, 2019

You can now see how many lineups in a particular build have used a team or game stack. Team stacks have to be two or more teammates and include the team’s quarterback. In order to count in the game stack summary, a lineup has to have players from both teams and a quarterback from that game.

- Updated the players per team max to 8, since some sites now allow that many for NFL.

August 29th, 2019

- Show a player’s team in the list of available replacements when editing a lineup.

- Added NFL quick stacks. You can build lineup correlations from up to 3 different games into a single lineup with this new feature. You can create your own rules for teammates and opponents on a positional basis. You can also select the targeted percentage of lineups for which to apply each rule, and specify which teams to consider for each stacking rule. The NFL stacking features are only available to our premium users. Watch the quick stacks tutorial here.

Here are the recent MLB updates coming out of the All-Star Break:

- Added a team ownership column for MLB hitters. This ownership number is the average projected ownership for all of the team’s hitters that are in the confirmed starting lineup or the projected starting lineup.

- Added SlateIQ stack columns for MLB hitters, including leverage score and the field and winner stack percentages that are also available in the daily SlateIQ article. This data is only available for DraftKings.

July 2nd, 2019

- Added FanDuel tennis support.

June 27th, 2019

- We now default to the next upcoming slate. This change was made with MLB split slates in mind, where we now default to the main slate after the early one has started.

- Added CFL support for DraftKings.

June 18th, 2019

- Added columns for Yahoo salary difference and salary rank. These columns compare a player’s price on Yahoo to his price on FanDuel and DraftKings. A negative number means the player is a better value on the site you currently have selected.

June 17th, 2019

- Remember which “stat group” the user was on when switching between sites/slates/projection sets. For example, if the user was looking at pitchers in the player pool, and then switched to a new site, the player pool would default to pitchers.

- Remember that the user had custom projections loaded when switching between sites and automatically load that projection source as long as it is supported for the destination site and sport.

June 10th, 2019

- Added Women’s World Cup support.

May 28th, 2019

We have fixed multiple issues with the CPT, MVP, STAR, and PRO fantasy points multiplier roster slots:

- Modifications to a player’s FLEX or UTIL fantasy points projection weren’t being saved when a user switched slates, and the CPT/MVP’s fantasy points were changing back to the RotoGrinders default value. This is now fixed.

- The “Add a Player Without a Projection” dialog is now showing the base salaries and fantasy points projections for all players.

- A manually added player is now displaying the correct salaries and fantasy points for the DraftKings CPT and FLEX/UTIL roster slots.

May 14th, 2019

- Added the MLB quick stacks feature, which allows you to specify how many hitters you want to use from the same team in your lineups. You can specify hitters from two different teams to stack together in individual lineups, such as 5-3, 4-4, etc. You can choose your quick stack types by setting max exposure percentages. You don’t have to set exposures for individual teams unless you want to. If you don’t set individual team exposures, the lineup builder will generate lineups based off of the rest of your build settings. You can choose to apply the quick stack max exposure settings across all your lineups or apply the exposures to each selected quick stack type individually. You can still use the old “Primary/Secondary Min/Max Hitters” input boxes by checking the “Enable Legacy Mode” box. Hitter stack settings are saved by site.

- For MLB, the player exposure table now includes tabs to view your stack summaries and your combo hitter stack summaries for your generated lineups. Pitchers are not included in the stack summaries.

- Added FanDuel NHL single-game support.

May 2nd, 2019

- We have updated our valid roster rules for each site and sport so that you can’t edit a lineup into an invalid roster and save it, only to find out it’s invalid after trying to submit it on FanDuel, DraftKings, etc.

April 24th, 2019

- Added DraftKings AFL support, including the CPT roster slot and fantasy points multiplier of 1.5x.

April 22nd, 2019

- The range of outcomes build settings can be applied by stat group now, meaning hitters and pitchers can use a different range of outcomes for the same build. If a player has a projection of 10 and you set the range of outcomes of 10%, every time a lineup is produced this player will be assigned a random projections between 9 and 11. These build settings are remembered by site.

April 3rd, 2019

- We’ve made some enhancements to the DraftKings Manage Entries interface. In the Player Exposures table, for players whose games have already started, we gray out the actions, and make them inactive for those players, but we still display the exposure ranges for users to see. Additionally, the exposures table will show a red lock icon for the players who are ineligible to be swapped out. On the right-hand side, in the lineups column, we still show the lock icon in the lineup card and now ensure the swap button is disabled for locked players.

April 1st, 2019

- Replaced the total ownership build setting with minimum and maximum total lineup ownership percentage input boxes. The default input of zero means that no constraint is set and any projected ownership range is acceptable when generating lineups. Setting a minimum constraint without a maximum, and vice versa, is supported.

March 28th, 2019

- We’ve reorganized the column groups in the player pool. Matchup information, projections and premium columns are now the first sections you will see as you scroll from left to right. We’ve also reduced the width of most of the columns, wherever possible, to fit more information into the initial view of the table without needing to scroll.

March 22nd, 2019

- Added wind direction to the MLB weather section of the player pool, in addition to the speed, which is represented in MPH. The wind direction is indicated by an arrow and includes the stadium orientation so it’s easy for you to tell if the wind is blowing “in,” “out,” or “across the field.” Additionally, the wind column can also be sorted by speed now.

- Fixed an issue with fpts/min not displaying after the NBA stats time range was changed by the user.

March 18th, 2019

- Updated the MLB roster slots for the upcoming season. Added the STAR position to FanDuel MLB single-game contests and replaced the old DraftKings MLB Showdown template with a “Captain” slot for 2019.

- Added NASCAR support to the total lineup ownership build setting.

March 9th, 2019

- We now have projected ownership for NASCAR. Only NASCAR marketplace subscribers will have access to projected ownership.

March 7th, 2019

- Added Kevin Roth’s color-coded weather ratings and forecasts for MLB. LineupHQ supports live updates for the weather, too, so the latest forecast changes will be updated automatically while you’re building lineups.

March 4th, 2019

- For PGA, we added columns to display each golfer’s Round 1 and Round 2 tee times. All times are local. An asterisk denotes that a golfer is starting the round on the back nine.

February 4th, 2019

- We added a “+” button next to the “columns” button in the Actions column. This option lets you toggle the player pool to the full height of the page. With this option, we have removed the button that lets you hide the premium expert filters.

January 17th, 2019

- You can now edit your min/max exposures from the Exposure Table when you are viewing a lineup build. These updated settings will apply to your next build.

- We have added improved support for the Fanduel NBA roster format. The projected lineup score will now only count the 8 highest projected players and the lowest scoring player will now be dimmed in the lineup. There is also an option to “optimize for 8 players” in the build settings.

January 1st, 2019

Happy New Year! We’ve been working hard on some updates to improve your LineupHQ experience in 2019!

- We have made some changes for members without a premium subscription such as 20 max lineups per build and 3 max concurrent builds. Read more about the changes here.

- The bottom of the player pool is now fixed to the bottom of the window on desktop sizes so that the horizontal scroll bar is always visible.

- You can adjust the row sizes in the player pool by clicking the settings (gear) icon in the top menu.

- We have moved the Add a Player option into a menu with the Exclude All and Include All options in the Player header.

- We have consolidated elements and hidden lesser used items on smaller screen sizes to improve the mobile experience.

- The projections select menu has been moved up near the build button and the Upload Projections option has been moved into that menu.

- If you have purchased a marketplace package with projections, we will default to those instead of average fpts.

November 27th, 2018

- Fixed an issue when resizing the sidebar over iframe content such as Court Report.

- Fixed a bug in Stack Finder where exposures from stacks not in the slate would be counted in the total.

November 21st, 2018

- Added color coding to NBA DvA Rank column. Green is associated with lower DvA rankings meaning that it is a good matchup for the player.

- Added a RB/WR option to the NFL global pairing rules and added the ability to toggle the “Pair QB with:” “same team” and “opponent” checkboxes. Previously, it would look at the values for both same team and opponent checkboxes. So you couldn’t specify a same team stack without specifying which positions from the opposing team to use.

November 16th, 2018

- My Lineups page – clicking on a player in the exposure table will now filter the lineups by that player. Also changed the cell shading in rows where players have exceeded their max exposures to be an indicator bar next to the “target” cell. This fixes the readability issues caused by the shaded cells.

- Added an option to “Clear All Saved Lineups” in the Saved Lineups tab. Also fixed a bug when Saved Lineups is clicked and there are no saved lineups.

November 9th, 2018

- We now support College Basketball using average fpts. When projections become live in the CBB Marketplace package (ETA 11/12), access will be restricted to marketplace subs only.

- We have moved the video and chat sections to a secondary sidebar that can be toggled with the “Show/Hide Video” sidebar button. Your last sidebar settings will also be remembered in browser.

- Added a build setting under “Other Settings” for “Prioritize Lineups over Max Exposures”. When checked, this allows the builder some flexibility to adjust max exposures in order to get you closer to the number of lineups requested.

October 18th, 2018

A few important updates since the last entry here:

- Premium subscribers now have access to our “Swap Shop” entries manager. Read more about it here

- We added a premium build option that lets you specify the total ownership % of your lineups.

- We have improved our projections CSV upload UI to give you name matching suggestions, let you specify a player to match to a row, and skip a row. You can also tell it whether you want to exclude players with a 0 projection in your CSV.

- For Single Game and Showdown slates, the CPT, MVP, PRO, and STAR versions of players will have have their Fpts input edit boxes disabled. Editing the projection for the base player will automatically change the CPT/MVP player’s projection by the appropriate modifier.

- Groups now has an option to only use the group “if player is not in the lineup”.

September 4th, 2018

- We released a new look for LineupHQ! Learn more about it here

- The sidebar size can now be adjusted on desktop screen width by holding and dragging the section divider, and articles/tools selected in the sidebar will now open in the sidebar so that you can still access your player pool while researching.

- We updated the premium NFL stacking tool (now called Stack Finder). Tell Stack Finder the number of players you want in your stacks, which positions you want to use, along with the teams you want to stack, and view stacking options that you can add for use in your lineups.

- Added premium NFL build settings that let you enforce certain types of stacks in all of your lineups. For example, “Pair QB with 1 WR/TE from the same team, and 1 WR/TE from the opposing team”. Check it out in the Build Rules tab.

- There is now a VIP GPP premium expert filter for NFL. Each week, we will be joined by a new guest who will give their expert tournament picks, viewable by the VIP GPP filter.

August 15th, 2018

- Improved the variability between Optimal, Balanced, and Random settings. You should see a wider range of players used and lineup projected fpts between these settings now.

August 6th, 2018

- Added NFL Preseason support for premium subscribers and subscribers to the preseason bundle.

- Added a premium build setting to “use running exposure totals”. This helps spread players more evenly throughout your lineups when building multiple lineups by checking a player’s running exposure percentage instead of their overall lineup exposure when deciding whether to consider them for each lineup run. See the tooltip of the setting in the Build Rules tab for more info.

June 28th, 2018

- Added generic builder support for Draftkings PGA Showdown and their newest offering, Tennis! Please note that for these partially supported contest types, we do not provide projections or a curated player pool.

June 27th, 2018

- Single Lineup Preview improvements: Players added to the Lineup Preview component after optimizing are no longer locked by default. This means you can hit “Reset” to clear those players without removing your locked players. This also fixes the annoyance of needing to unlock players if building multiple lineups after you’ve optimized a lineup in the Lineup Preview.

June 25th, 2018

- Premium filters and premium columns (Projected Ownership, PlateIQ score, PlateIQ positive/negative matchup factors) are FREE this Monday through Friday during our Free Premium Trial week!

- Added a “Save All Lineups” button on the My Lineups page. Click this button to save all of your lineups from a build to your Saved Lineups.

- We’ve released some improvements to the hitter stacking tool. Read more about it here

- We added hitter and pitcher stat columns back. Scroll the middle columns of the player pool to find basic stats such as wOBA, ISO, K%, and more. We are also displaying the matchup wOBA number that was previously part of the Hitter and Pitcher hub pages.

May 18th, 2018

It’s been a while since I have updated here, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t made any updates! Over the last couple of weeks we have added:

- Premium PlateIQ rating column

- The ability to navigate to the next day and previous days for MLB. This can result in the current day’s player pool settings being reset. So we recommend using this feature after games for the current day have started.

- NBA FD Single Game Boost support

- WNBA “partial” builder support using avg fpts per game instead of RG projections

April 25, 2018

- Added “generic” builder support for FanDuel Nascar. Check it out here

April 24, 2018

- The “no hitters vs pitchers” checkbox in Build Rules is now a “max hitters vs pitchers” number input. This will let you define how many opposing hitters you want to allow which can be useful for small slates. For example, a “max hitters vs pitchers” setting of 1 means that your lineups can contain at most 1 hitter from one of your pitchers’ opposing teams.

- Added the ability to stop a build in progress by clicking on the Build button again. When building, the button now says “Stop” along with the current build progress, indicating that the build can be stopped by clicking on the button.

April 23, 2018

- Updated the DK community guidelines check to make it better obey the two player modifications rule. The check will pass if you have done any of the following to at least two players in the pool: locked, excluded, set exposure, edited a projection, added to a group.

- A warning message will now show on the hitter stacks page if you have fewer players than the min stack size for a team or if you have set your min higher than max or vice-versa.

April 13, 2018

- Added the ability to bulk exclude filtered out players with the “Exclude Filtered” button. When you de-select a team in the game filters, you will see the “Exclude Filtered” button light up with the number of players to exclude. This is also a powerful way for premium subscribers to exclude any players that are not tagged by our experts. Simply select all of the expert filters, then click “Exclude Filtered” to remove all filtered out players from the pool. It’s important to note that “filtered” means hidden from your current view, but not excluded from builds, which is why we are providing this button.

- Added the RG gear icon in the upper left corner. Clicking on it will take you to the RG homepage

- Player pool tabs now show number of players in each category.

- Styling updates to the nav menus, tooltips, and mobile view. Changed button to open filter drawer from icon to text.

April 12, 2018

- We now include Umpire data columns in the MLB player pool for our premium subscribers. Find the “Umpire” columns between the Vegas and Weather column groups. We list the name of the umpire, their batter/pitcher favorability rating from the BAT umpire projection model, as well as the strikeout and walk rates for all games the umpire called in 2017.

- Batters who are not in the projected starting lineup, but still regularly appear in the lineup will now appear with a red clock icon and an asterisk in the “Order” column.

- Locking and unlocking a player no longer results in user edited min or max exposures being reset.

April 9, 2018

- Auto-updates for MLB! Batting orders, projections, projected ownership, and expert rankings now update without needing to refresh the page. When a starting lineup is confirmed or players are added or removed from the pool, the notifications icon in the top right corner will blink. Click on it to see more information.

April 8, 2018

- Added “generic” builder support for FanDuel MLB Single Game contests. Please note that for these partially supported contest types, we do not provide projections or a curated player pool. Batting orders will also not update in real-time.

April 5, 2018

- Added “generic” builder support for DraftKings MLB Showdown and PGA Single Round Showdown. Please note that for these partially supported contest types, we do not provide projections or a curated player pool.

- Fixed an issue with groups where groups with excluded players would not be used in the build. Instead, we now provide a warning that your group contains an excluded player and automatically disable the group. To re-enable the group, you must either remove the excluded player from the group, or re-include the player into your player pool.
