Archie Goodwin Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Archie Goodwin (ankle) will play against the Clippers
Goodwin is a strong option on the late slate and should play 28-32 minutes if his ankle holds up. The Suns have nothing to play for and could limit Ronnie Price's minutes for that reason. We'll have to throw out the DvP stats with Chris Paul not playing tonight. Goodwin's ownership will likely remain low but he deserves tournament consideration for the late slate.
Archie Goodwin (ankle) upgraded to probable; Tyson Chandler (concussion) ruled out
Goodwin has been upgraded and should be back in the lineup after missing one game. Goodwin is a boom-or-bust option that has the ability to get 8x against the Clippers B-team. Tyson Chandler will not play in the final game of the season, making Jon Leuer a strong play. Leuer is a viable punt option that will likely go overlooked in the all day slate. Leuer has more value on the late slate but is still a low-end option with all the good choices available.
Archie Goodwin (ankle) expected to play tonight; Tyson Chandler (concussion) is a game-time decision
Goodwin missed one game due to a sore ankle. He is expected to play against the Clippers B-team tonight. With Goodwin back in the lineup, Ronnie Price's value takes a considerable hit. Goodwin has 8-10x upside with his price still sub-4k on both major sites. Unless he is announced the starter well before lock Goodwin should only be used in the late slate. Tyson Chandler could play tonight and that greatly affects the value of Jon Leuer. If Chandler plays, Leuer is low-end fantasy option that should be avoided tonight. Look for an update on Suns later on today.
Jon Leuer confirmed as the starter tonight; Archie Goodwin ruled out
Leuer will replace Tyson Chandler in the starting lineup. Leuer should be considered an exceptional option against the Kings on Monday. Leuer is only $3,300 on DraftKings leaving him with a ton of upside tonight. Archie Goodwin will not play, making Ronnie Price a strong punt option. Price has proven that he is a boom-or-bust player because he has scored under 10 fpts in two out of his last five starts.
Tyson Chandler (concussion) ruled out against the Kings; Archie Goodwin (ankle) doubtful
Chandler will not be playing on Monday after suffering a concussion on Saturday. Jon Leuer will likely replace him in the starting lineup and is a strong punt play with his salary sub-4k on both major sites. If Leuer does get the start he should 28-32 minutes against the Kings. In 25 starts this season, Leuer is averaging 22.03 FanDuel fpts, providing us a solid floor in a game with the highest projected total (218). Archie Goodwin is doubtful with an ankle injury after exceeding 8x in his last two performances. With Goodwin expected to be out, Ronnie Price will get most of the minutes at PG and John Jenkins will be used as his backup. Price should be considered an elite punt play and Jenkins is a GPP dart throw.
Ronnie Price to start for Brandon Knight
Ronnie Price will start for the injured Brandon Knight on Friday. Knight is dealing with a sports hernia and is expected to miss the game. Price's asking price is near the minimum across the industry, making him a viable option in both tournaments and cash games. Price is mainly in for defensive purposes but has scored over 30 fpts in multiple starts this season. Archie Goodwin will be the backup PG but he is not a viable option.
Ronnie Price (illness) will play
Ronnie Price will be active on Friday but will likely be limited. Price was not a DFS option and his return could hurt Archie Goodwin. Price is only DFS relevant if Knight is hurt.
Brandon Knight practicing Tuesday
Knight practiced today for the first time since his injury, and it appears that he's inching closer to a return. We still don't have a definitive timetable, but his return will lead to a reduction in playing time for Ronnie Price and Archie Goodwin. Price has played 81 minutes over the last two games so he'll remain a viable punt play until Knight is back in the lineup, but once his minutes begin to dwindle he won't be an option. He's not producing at a solid per-minute clip to date.
Ronnie Price will play on Friday
Ronnie Price will be returning to the Suns lineup tonight after toe surgery. Price is not a strong DFS option and is a better player in real life. Price is mainly a defensive player that picks up peripheral stats. Also, Archie Goodwin will see fewer minutes tonight with Price returning.
Archie Goodwin to remain the starting PG with Ronnie Price expected to return tonight
Goodwin is expected to remain the starter at PG tonight despite Ronnie Price's expected return. While Goodwin isn't necessarily a true PG, he's performed admirably with both Knight and Price out of the lineup and has seemingly earned the right to start until Knight returns. We can't expect 38+ minutes with Price active, but Goodwin should still see upwards of 28-30 minutes as the starter and he has a very good draw against a Rockets team that has struggled mightily with opposing PGs. He's a tournament play at best, but one with some upside in a fast-paced game.
