Jared Sullinger Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections

Norman Powell and Jared Sullinger starting tonight

Norman Powell has been officially named as the starter in place of DeMar DeRozan. Norman Powell is averaging 22.85 fantasy points in his seven starts this season. He's a cheap option but extremely volatile, so he's based saved for tournaments. Jared Sullinger will be making his first start of the season and is coming off a nice performance against the Suns. He should play over 20 minutes and is a viable tournament option. He'll be tasked with defending LaMarcus Aldridge so there is a chance of foul trouble.

Jared Sullinger (foot) making his season debut tonight, playing limited minutes

Sullinger will play and make his season debut for tonight's game against the Philadelphia 76ers after rehabbing from preseason foot surgery. Sullinger will be on a strict minutes restriction as he works his way back into game and will not be a daily fantasy option for the foreseeable future. His presence in the rotation, albeit a limited one, is enough to remove Jakob Poeltl as a potential tournament dart throw.

Cory Joseph, Terrence Ross, and Jared Sullinger ruled out; Pascal Siakam starting at PF

Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, DeMarre Carroll, Pascal Siakam and Jonas Valanciunas will start for Toronto against the Wizards this evening. Siakam gets another nod at the starting power forward position with Sullinger out, as the Raptors seem hesitant to roll Patrick Patterson out with the starting unit. However, outside of Lowry and DeRozan, there isn't whole lot to love as far as viable fantasy options in this matchup for Totonto.

DeMar DeRozan back in the starting lineup tonight; Ross and Sullinger out

Pascal Siakam will start in place of Jared Sullinger at the power forward spot for Toronto. The Rapotors are also expected run a more regular season-like rotation tonight, even with the absence Sullinger and Terrence Ross. This could mean a slight boost in minutes for the Toronto starters.

Evan Turner and Jonas Jerebko starting; Marcus Smart and Jared Sullinger to the bench

Turner will move back into the starting lineup tonight in Game 3. Smart is dealing with an injured finger and ribs and could be limited off the bench. Turner should be considered a strong mid-range option and only needs 30 fpts to reach 5x on Friday. Jerebko will replace Sullinger and should also be considered a very strong punt option. Jerebko is only $2,300 on DraftKings which allows for the stack of other more expensive players.

Kelly Olynyk unlikely to play Tuesday

Brad Stevens told that media that he had no update on Kelly Olynyk, and judging by his statements it appears unlikely that Olynyk returns to the lineup tonight. Jared Sullinger should continue seeing around 30 minutes of run tonight against Indiana, making him a viable GPP play due to his ability to rack up counting stats in a hurry. He's had a tough time against the Pacers this season but is still averaging more than a FP per minute over the course of the season. Tyler Zeller will continue to see time at the center spot with the second unit.

Kelly Olynyk still out for Celtics

It's been more than a month since Olynyk last took the court and he won't return tonight when the Celtics take on the Houston Rockets. Jared Sullinger is the biggest beneficiary and is a safe option (no fewer than 24 FanDuel fpts in his last 11 games) but his upside is limited as the Celtics rotations are inconsistent and his playing time varies (he only played 21 minutes last game). Sullinger will play tonight per the Celtics official Twitter feed.

Jared Sullinger (dehydration) expected to play Friday

Sullinger missed a few practices this week after being hospitalized with a skin infection, and as a result of that he's dealt with dehydration over the past few days. He was able to play 21 minutes last night and was productive while he was on the floor, but he didn't play late in the game with the Celtics ahead comfortably. Assuming Kelly Olynyk remains out on Friday, Sullinger should push for 25-28 minutes, making him a viable GPP play considering his solid per minute numbers.

Jared Sullinger to play; Kelly Olynyk remains out

Jared Sullinger was hospitalized with a skin infection yesterday but has healed enough to play today. Sullinger's questionable tag will lead to him having low ownership tonight, making him appealing in tournaments. Sullinger is averaging 34.24 DKFP over his last five games and has not scored under 25 DKFP since the All-Star break. Sullinger presents a nice floor with legit upside tonight against the Grizzlies. Kelly Olynyk is still out with a shoulder injury and will miss his 10th straight game.

Jared Sullinger questionable for Wednesday

The Celtics big man was hospitalized yesterday for a skin infection. While he has been released, he has missed practice the last two days and his status for tomorrow is uncertain. We'll update as soon as more information comes in. If he is unable to go, the return of Kelly Olynyk could see him getting a few more minutes than normal with Tyler Zeller also likely getting a boost in playing time.
