In his absence, there’s a number of players that become candidates to join the rotation, but none of Nicols Batum, Cody Martin, or Michael Kidd-Gilchrist are likely to receive enough minutes to become relevant for daily fantasy formats on tonight’s nine-game main slate, evidenced by the 16 minutes Martin logged in Monday's loss.

Head coach James Borrego opted to go with a rather unconventional starting lineup in Sunday's loss with both Bismack Biyombo and Cody Zeller starting in the frontcourt, but now that Williams is available, he will likely choose to go with a more traditional power forward in place of P.J. Washington this evening. Williams logged at least 27 minutes in each of the two games prior to his injury, so he'll be a viable punt option on tonight's slate even though he averages just 0.75 DraftKings and 074 FanDuel points per minute on the season.

Head coach James Borrego has now utilized a condensed rotation in two straight games, and every starter other than Bismack Biyombo was allocated at least 36 minutes in Tuesday's win, which has limited Batum, Malik Monk, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist to reduced roles off the bench. Kidd-Gilchrist will more than likely remain in the rotation in place of Williams, while at least one of Dwayne Bacon, Cody Martin, or Caleb Martin could absorb the minutes likely to be vacated by Batum this evening.

Despite being listed as probable on the Hornets' injury report, Williams won't play in Sunday's matchup against Atlanta Hawks due to a sore right knee. Williams exited at the tail end of the third quarter of Friday's loss and was limited to just 16 minutes of action, and he was replaced by Nicolas Batum, who went on to log 33 minutes and ended up closing the game over Mile Bridges with the other members of the Hornets starting unit. It's unclear if this will be a trend moving forward, but Batum has now seen at least 25 minutes in two straight contests. However, he'll be a difficult player to trust in daily formats if he maintains a minuscule 9.8% usage rate with his newfound playing time in head coach James Borrego's rotation.

Lately it's been the Frank Kaminsky show, and he has been much more efficient as of late. He only got 23 minutes in last night's blow out against Cleveland, but there would be no reason to limit his run tonight and especially if Nikola Vucevic ends up sitting, the minutes would come against Khem Birch and whoever is backing up Khem Birch, which is to say that Kaminsky should have no trouble maintaining his recent run of efficiency.

No surprise here, you can continue to target Frank Kamisnky, although his price has come up some.

Marvin Williams is now officially out- there is minimal impact here since we were mainly expecting this already, but does strengthen the case somewhat for Willy Hernangomez or potentially Frank Kaminsky if you wanted a very low owned play.
