Matthew Dellavedova (knee) and Mirza Teletovic (knee) ruled out Saturday
Dellavedova has been ruled out and won't play in tonight's game against the Dallas Mavericks due to left knee tendinitis that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games, while Mirza Teletovic will also remain sidelined for the fifth straight game with a sore left knee. This injury news would have been more notable if the Bucks didn't recently acquire Eric Bledsoe in a trade, as Dellavedova has really seen his playing time dwindle in recent games. His absence won't necessarily benefit one particular player off the bench either since head coach Jason Kidd was quoted saying "there’s no shortage of guards on the bench who can fill his minutes".
Mirza Teletovic (sore knee) ruled out Friday
Teletovic has been ruled out and won't play in tonight's game against the San Antonio Spurs after previously being listed as doubtful on the Milwaukee Bucks' game notes with a sore left knee that is likely to keep him sidelined for more than just Friday's contest. Teletovic averages just over 15 minutes per game, but with Eric Bledsoe set to start and make his Bucks debut, head coach Jason Kidd may just decide to go "small" more often, meaning that Teletovic's absence likely won't affect any minute allocations in the frontcourt. This lineup change will send Malcolm Brogdon to the bench to assume a sixth-man role off the bench, and while Bledsoe won't have a strict minute restriction in his debut, his playing time will be monitored by the Bucks coaching staff considering he has not played in an actual game for a few weeks. Until we have a sample of how the minutes will be divided between Bledsoe, Brogdon, and likely Tony Snell, it should be best to just avoid the Milwaukee backcourt until further notice.
Mirza Teletovic (sore knee) will play Tuesday
Teletovic will play in tonight's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to Milwaukee Bucks head coach Jason Kidd, after previously being listed as questionable on the injury report with a left knee soreness. Teletovic has averaged just under 16 minutes per contest off the bench and will not have a minute restriction on Tuesday but isn't particularly viable in daily fantasy formats on most nights but especially not on a full 10-game slate. However, Tony Snell has been seeing minutes in the upper-30s in the Bucks previous two games and makes for a nice punt option given his cheap price tag across the industry.
Mirza Teletovic (sore knee) questionable Tuesday
Teletovic has been listed as questionable on the Milwaukee Bucks' injury report for tonight's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers with left knee soreness. Teletovic has averaged just under 16 minutes per contest off the bench, so if he's eventually ruled out, there would be some extra playing time for the likes of Rashad Vaughn or maybe even DeAndre Liggins on the wing, though neither would be particularly viable in daily fantasy formats on a full 10-game slate. That said, Tony Snell has been seeing minutes in the upper-30s in the Bucks previous two games and makes for a nice punt option across the industry given his cheap price tag, especially if Teletovic is unavailable since that would mean there is one less available body on the bench for head coach Jason Kidd to tinker with his rotation, as he is notoriously known to do on a regular basis.
Malcolm Brogdon and Mirza Teletovic both available to play for Milwaukee tonight; Matthew Dellavedova will still start
Brogdon and Teletovic have both sat out the last few games for Milwaukee but it looks like Brogdon will be eased back in slowly as Matthew Dellavedova will get the start. That news makes both risky DFS plays tonight especially facing the Memphis Grizzlies on the road in a game that has a total barely over 200.
Malcolm Brogdon (back) and Mirza Teletovic (hamstring) ruled out tonight
Brogdon and Teletovic have both been ruled out in advance of tonight's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves despite neither player officially appearing on the Bucks' injury report at any point during the day. This is the second consecutive game each Brogdon and Teletovic have missed due to their respective ailments. Matthew Dellavedova will draw the start at point guard in place of Brogdon once again and would normally be in play as a punt option, but with all the value in the Warriors-Spurs game, he doesn't possess the necessary upside to become a factor. Additionally, Teletovic's unavailability in the rotation could open the door for Terrence Jones to finally make his Bucks debut, but Bucks head coach Jason Kidd chose to leave him on the bench in that same scenario on Friday.
Malcolm Brogdon and Mirza Teletovic OUT for Milwaukee tonight
Brogdon and Teletovic have both been ruled out in advance of tonight's game against the Indiana Pacers despite either player officially appearing on the Bucks' injury report at any point during the day. Matthew Dellavedova will draw the start at point guard in place of Brogdon and is certainly in play as a punt option on tonight's slate. Teletovic never received an injury designation for tonight's contest but his status for Friday was definitely unclear after sustaining a hamstring injury in Thursday's practice. His unavailability in the rotation will likely open the door for Terrence Jones to finally make his Bucks debut this evening.
Giannis Antetokounmpo questionable for Milwaukee tonight
The Bucks star player was a late scratch on Sunday and is still battling the illness that caused him to miss that game. He's questionable for tonight's game against San Antonio and Head Coach Jason Kidd stated he would be a game-time decision. Mirza Teletovic and Michael Beasley would both receive a significant boost if Giannis can't play again.
Mirza Teletovic starting for Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) today
Antetokounmpo will not play in today's game against the Washington Wizards due to an illness. Mirza Teletovic will draw the start in his place with Matthew Dellavedova still limited to a minutes restriction of 20 minutes as he works his way back from injury, though Michael Beasley is also definitively in play, as he should see significant playing time off the bench. Additionally, Malcolm Brogdon will certainly be pegged with more of the distribution and ball handling responsibilities in Antetokounmpo's absence. No members of the Bucks' starting unit see a particularly substantial usage spike with Antetokounmpo off the floor, but Jabari Parker does lead the team with a 27.3% usage rate while averaging 1.09 FanDuel and 1.15 DraftKings points per minute.
Michael Beasley (foot) expected to play off the bench; Mirza Teletovic and Rashad Vaughn ruled out
Beasley will reportedly be available to play in tonight's game against the Washington Wizards after previously being listed as probable on the Bucks injury report with a sprained left foot that has caused him to be sidelined for the previous five games. Beasley will almost assuredly see the court in some capacity this evening given the unavailability of Mirza Teletovic and Rashad Vaughn due to injuries. There will extra minutes and usage that needs to be disbursed among the remaining members of the second unit, but it's tough to confidently project which reserve player will benefit the most. Malcolm Brogdon and Greg Monroe had been carrying the offensive load even prior to the the Teletovic and Vaughn injuries, so they should be the primary tournament punt targets for Milwaukee.
