Tyler Zeller Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
John Henson out Friday; Tyler Zeller starting
Henson is a late scratch from Friday's matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers due to a sprained right index finger. In his absence, Tyler Zeller will draw the start at center with Thon Maker missing his third consecutive game because of a strained right groin. This obviously leaves the Milwaukee Bucks relatively thin in the frontcourt, and Marshall Plumlee will be thrust into backup center minutes, while Giannis Antetokounmp also consistently sees time at the five spot in small-ball lineup combinations, something interim head coach Joe Prunty can turn to more often if the game flow and matchups dictate.
Tyler Zeller (sore ribs) available to play Wednesday
Zeller has officially been cleared to play and will suit up, as expected, for Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers after previously being listed as probable on the Milwaukee Bucks' game notes with ribs soreness that had forced him to miss two consecutive games. In his absence, Thon Maker entered the rotation as the backup behind John Henson at center and is coming off a solid fantasy performance in 23 minutes of action in Monday's loss. However, he'll likely only play a limited role or be relegated from the rotation entirely with Zeller available to make his return. Additionally, Giannis Antetokounmpo should see less time at center in small-ball lineup combinations after logging heavy minutes over the last two games.
Tyler Zeller (sore ribs) ruled out Monday
Zeller has officially been ruled out and won't play in Monday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers after previously being listed as questionable in the Milwaukee Bucks' game notes with sore ribs that have now forced him to miss two consecutive games. Meanwhile, Malcolm Brogdon and Matthew Dellavedova remain sidelined with their respective ailments, and interim head coach Joe Prunty will likely stick with his normal starting lineup, meaning that John Henson will continue to start at center. In Zeller's absence, Thon Maker should remain in the frontcourt rotation in a limited capacity after logging 12 minutes on Saturday, while Giannis Antetokounmpo could also see additional minutes at center in small-ball lineup combinations.
Tyler Zeller (sore back) ruled out Saturday
Zeller has officially been ruled out and won't play in Saturday's game against the Atlanta Hawks after previously being listed as questionable on the Milwaukee Bucks' injury report with back soreness that also forced him to miss two games last week. Meanwhile, Malcolm Brogdon and Matthew Dellavedova remain sidelined with their respective ailments, and interim head coach Joe Prunty already confirmed with reporters during his pregame media availability that he will stick with his normal starting lineup, which means that John Henson will start at center. In Zeller's absence, Thon Maker could rejoin the frontcourt rotation in a limited capacity, while Giannis Antetokounmpo could also see additional minutes at center in small-ball lineup combinations.
Tyler Zeller returns with no restrictions.
Tyler Zeller is back for the Milwaukee Bucks and reportedly has no restrictions after missing the past two games.
Tyler Zeller (sore hip, back) officially ruled out Wednesday
Zeller has officially been ruled out and won't play in Wednesday's game against the Houston Rockets after previously being listed as doubtful in the Milwaukee Bucks' game notes with a sore back that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games, while Matthew Dellavedova will remain sidelined for the 12th straight contest due to a sprained right ankle and there is still no timetable for his return to action. With Zeller sidelined, Thon Maker will likely remain in a significantly larger role as the primary backup center behind John Henson after logging 18 minutes, while Henson should see his playing time elevated back into the upper-20s with one less warm body in the frontcourt. Shabazz Muhammad finally managed to see the court for the first time as a member of the Bucks on Monday night, recording six minutes, and it'll be interesting to see if he begins to siphon playing time away from Tony Snell and Sterling Brown as he becomes more accustomed to interim head coach Joe Prunty's playbook and builds a report with his new teammates.
Khris Middleton (knee) listed as a game-time decision Monday; Tyler Zeller (hip, back) listed out
Middleton has been listed as a game-time decision in the latest updated version of the Milwaukee Bucks' game notes for Monday's game against the Indiana Pacers due to a sore right knee. Meanwhile, Tyler Zeller and Matthew Dellavedova have both been listed out with their respective ailments, the latter on track to miss his 11th consecutive game with a sprained right ankle. With Zeller sidelined, Thon Maker will likely assume a significantly larger role as the primary backup center behind John Henson after logging just four minutes in back-to-back games, while Henson should see his playing time elevated back into the upper-20s with one less warm body in the frontcourt. Shabazz Muhammad was a DNP-CD in his Bucks debut, but it'll be interesting to see if he begins to siphon playing time away from Tony Snell and Sterling Brown as he becomes more accustomed to interim head coach Joe Prunty's playbook and builds a report with his new teammates.
John Henson (hamstring) and Tyler Zeller (illness) available to play Friday
Henson has officially been cleared to play and will suit up for Friday's game against the Toronto Raptors after previously being listed as probable on the Milwaukee Bucks' injury report with a sore right hamstring that had forced him to miss three consecutive games prior to the All-Star break. Meanwhile, Tyler Zeller will also be available to play following his earlier probable designation on the injury report due to an illness. Zeller easily outperformed Thon Maker from real-life and daily fantasy perspectives with Henson sidelined, especially the last two games, so it'll be interesting to see how interim head coach Joe Prunty decides to deploy his frontcourt rotation moving forward. If the last two contests are any indication, Maker may find himself on the outside-looking-in at the rotation sooner rather than later.
Tyler Zeller (sore hip) will start Monday
Zeller has been cleared to play and will start in today's game against the New York Knicks, according to head coach Kenny Atkinson, after previously being listed as probable on the Brooklyn Nets' injury report with a sore left hip that had forced him to miss one game. Zeller's return to the starting lineup will send Quincy Acy back to the bench to resume his normal reserve role after surprisingly drawing the spot start at center and performing extremely well for fantasy purposes in 25 minutes of action. Even though Zeller is "starting", he'll remain irrelevant for daily fantasy formats going forward, as the big man rarely sees more than 15 minutes on any given night and has basically settled into a 10-12 minute role as the starter with Acy, Jahlil Okafor, and Jarrett Allen absorbing the remainder of the available playing time at the center position.
Tyler Zeller (sore hip) ruled out Saturday
Zeller has been added to the Brooklyn Nets' injury report and won't play in tonight's game against the Washington Wizards due to a sore left hip. Zeller typically only sees around 10-15 minutes per game, so his absence won't have a huge effect on the remainder of the Nets frontcourt rotation, but it should allow either Jahlil Okafor or Jarrett Allen to enter the starting lineup at the center spot. Regardless of starter, they'll likely only split Zeller's typical minute allotment, relegating them to tournament-only consideration. Quincy Acy is a terrible fantasy producer on a per-minute basis, but he'll continue to log a majority of the playing time at center in head coach Kenny Atkinson's frontcourt rotation, despite coming off the bench.
