Nemanja Bjelica (left foot) to miss the remainder of the season
Forward Nemanja Bjelica was diagnosed with a foot injury and it will cause him to miss the remainder of the season. Jordan Hill or Adreian Payne will likely be used as the backup forward but expect Karl-Anthony Towns and Gorgui Dieng to continue to play over 30 minutes. Shabazz Muhammad can also be slotted in as a small ball four. Bjelica was really starting to pick up his play of late but will have to wait until next year.
Adreian Payne (illness) upgraded to questionable for Wednesday's game against LAC
Adreian Payne has been out since the first week of February due to an illness. Payne's season-high in minutes are 14, so don't expect him to be a major part of this rotation once he does return. Payne is simply an emergency option on the team and is not relevant at this time.
Gorgui Dieng does not practice today; status uncertain for Wednesday's game
The Timberwolves forward/center missed practice today due to personal reasons and his status for their game tomorrow is uncertain. The Twolves front court is already dangerously thin and if Dieng is unable to go it'll probably mean big minutes for Adreian Payne. We'll update you on Dieng's status tomorrow.
Adreian Payne to start for KG
Payne will start for KG, who is sitting out on the second leg of a B2B. Payne isn't a strong DFS option even as a starter, as Nemanja Bjelica will likely eat into his playing time off the bench. Expect Payne to be in the 18-22 minute range tonight, which lines up with what he's seen as a starter thus far.
