Adrian Kempe Daily Fantasy News, Rankings, Projections
Kings center is an intriguing tournament target
In the mass multi entry tournaments tonight, taking a chance on someone like Adrian Kempe could pay dividends. The Kings center has picked up a point in three of his last four games and should benefit from playing alongside someone like Tyler Toffoli. Since last season, Kempe has started in the offensive zone 72.11% of the time at 5v5, and this line figures to see Detroit's bottom six for a majority of the game. Kempe is also centering the team's second power play unit. At $3,400 on DraftKings and $3,800 on FanDuel, playing Kempe is one way to grab an expensive line and stud defenseman.
Late Night Hammer
If you are looking for some late night action, we have plenty of options tonight at the Staples Center. The Los Angeles Kings are starting to get going offensively and they should dominate a Detroit Red Wings team that that has now lost seven consecutive hockey games, surrendering a ridiculous 28 goals against in the process. In cash games, Jeff Carter leads the way and he is followed by Anze Kopitar, Dustin Brown, and Tyler Toffoli, with Tanner Pearson making a great value play and Adrian Kempe a solid punt option. As far as tourneys go, you can certainly stack all three of the Kings scoring lines, however, their third line is the most appealing. This trio correlates well at both even strength and on the Kings second power play unit, and they are cheap to stack up.
Sneaky Second Line In Great Spot
If you're looking for an under the radar line stack tonight, look to the second line of the Kings, which features Adrian Kempe, Tyler Toffoli, and Tanner Pearson. Filling in for the injured Jeff Carter, Kempe has been a solid compliment to "That 70s Line" this season with 18 points. They draw a fantastic matchup at home against an overrated Avalanche team that can be exposed on the road. With Anze Kopitar expected to take on Nathan MacKinnon and Colorado's top line for much of this game, look for the second line to carry the load offensively for the Kings in a game that LA should have no problems imposing their will offensively.
Under The Radar Second Line
If you're looking for an under the radar line stack tonight, look to the second line of the Kings, which features Adrian Kempe, Tyler Toffoli, and Tanner Pearson. Filling in for the injured Jeff Carter, Kempe has been a solid compliment to "That 70s Line" this season with seven points in his last 10 games. A matchup against a stingy Boston team may seem risky, but they have been dealing with several key injuries throughout their lineup and will be playing on tired legs following last night's 4-2 loss in Anaheim. With Anze Kopitar expected to take on Patrice Bergeron and Boston's top line for much of this game, look for the second line to carry the load offensively for the Kings in a game that LA should have no problems imposing their will offensively.
Yo, Adrian!
Adrian Kempe has put together a nice campaign for the Los Angeles Kings this season. After seeing limited ice time in his first five games, Kempe exploded for a hat trick and a helper against Montreal less than a month ago. Since then, his ice time has steadily grown as the winger has picked up four goals and three assists in his last eight games. While Kempe did miss the Kings’ last game against Tampa Bay, he is expected to return tonight. Martin Jones and the Sharks are not an ideal opponent, but Kempe is someone who will surely fly under the radar.
