Dirt-cheap center should see solid minutes again
With Boone Jenner not on the Blue Jackets' road trip, an opportunity exists for Alexander Wennberg to get some top-six minutes. Wennberg is not one to shoot much, but he does see power play time. Wennberg figures to see the Jets' second line for the most part, and it is a line that has struggled mightily at even-strength, particularly of late. At $2,800 on DraftKings, Wennberg is an interesting, next-to-zero-ownership option to free up salary.
Two Inexpensive Line Stacks With Multi-Goal Potential
The Ottawa Senators have been an awful defensive team throughout the 2017-18 season, and they are playing their second game in as many nights, which puts the Columbus Blue Jackets offense in a terrific spot tonight at the Nationwide Arena. The Blue Jackets top line is the main attraction here, but there is plenty of value to be had on their second and third lines, and both of these lines are stackable tonight in GPPs.
Multi-Point Potential At A Moderate Price Tag
With an implied goal total of more than 3.30, Vegas expects the Columbus Blue Jackets offense to have a big night and I completely agree. The Buffalo Sabres are playing their second game in as many nights and they have not had a lot of success keeping the puck out of their net, allowing the seventh-most goals against per game (3.50) this season. Centering the Blue Jackets top line and number one power play unit, the moderately priced Wennberg makes a great play in any format on this two-game slate.
CBJ 1
If you are looking to maximize potential from a line stack tonight, don't sleep on the top line of Columbus, which features Alexander Wennberg, Cam Atkinson, and Artemi Panarin. One of the few lines that hasn't been broken up by head coach John Tortorella throughout much of the early part of this season, this trio is also featured on the top power play for Columbus, which should be very active on the man advantage tonight against an undisciplined Winnipeg Jets team that remains among the most penalized teams in the NHL and continues to struggle killing off penalties this season. They won't be cheap, but pairing them with Zach Werenski makes for a solid power play stack that will remain intact at even strength, setting the stage for a monster performance against one of the league's weaker defensive teams.
